How does you game fit the theme?
To spoil the ending: its all a simulation, There is no water, the controls as written in the games main page are intentionally missleading and neglecting to mention the eel being the real player character and all the fish the fisherman is trying to catch are not actually eel!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
yes.
Collab work between
Ghost 13 (writing all the code)
Shoni (recording SFX, composing and mixing audio)
and JoonyTv (art & animation assets all from scratch)

The fish have such good character really takes away the frustration when the wont get on the hook. Great Work!
perfection... P
Seems to be too repetative, but music and art is awesome. Don't know why i should use phantom fish, just sent it to the corner.
I love reading everyones different reactions to the eel mechanic. Some loved it, some hate it, some seem indifferent, some seem to just wanna play without~ There will be a toggle to turn off the player character in the past-jam improved version; thank you for your feedback :)
I liked the art and music a lot.
The tip to lure in more fish by clicking was a fun twist to discover how the mechanic actually worked but it would have worked even better if it was told in the game instead of the project page.
I've read your submission comment and immediately stopped to check out the page otherwise I would have totally missed that.
I would not let the player go into the negative money. Getting back to 0 is usually worse enough.
There are some small annoyances like the eel spawning on top of the hook or some physics chain reactions that could be improved on when polishing the game further.
Overall quite an impressive project you delivered here.
these are very good suggestions, thank you so much for your advice
While mildly frustrating, it was still a fun game nonetheless
There are some bugs but overall it's a very interesting game with really nice graphics.
Very unique game, and super fun to play! Only problem I had was clicking outside the game window causing it to minimize.
The art style is very cute and consistent, very good game!
nice game but can you make a WebGL version?
yep, been working on that for the past few days. its already finished and will be uploaded here as soon the rating period is over :)
Lol unique game mechanic! I was wondering who's eel until I get caught n everything was just clicked. Great game!
Beautiful art paired with a solid and fun mechanic. Great work! Your interpretation of the theme is a unique and fun choice too!
I live for the art. Mad fish are a vibe. Needs bounds so the fish hook can't go off screen and its ready to ship!
Cool art and the game idea is so funny! awesome.
Nice visuals and audio, but I would have given the fishing rod a bit more move speed.
lol what a good game! I didn't realize the player was actually the fish! totally fit the theme!
Very cute game about a very mischievous eel who wants nothing to do with any hooks, instead he pushes his problems onto other fish! I didn't like how the game was entirely windowed, as it got pretty annoying to accidentally click out of the game, so maybe include an option to make the window bigger or set it to fullscreen. This game's mechanics are also amazing and I deeply enjoyed my time spent on this game. 10/10 would fish again!
Very nice! Love the graphics and had fun playing!
Oh my goodness this game was adorable! I love the animations and the cute lil' eyebrows the fish get when you get mad at them XD I also adore how you used the theme in this game! The ending cutscene was super cool! And the eel was so cute! It was so much fun bumping into all of the different fish and watching the animation play when I caught something! One minor bug I noticed though was that if you went too far down with the hook, you couldn't go back up! This wasn't much of an issue though, since it could be fixed by catching a fish! Super cool work!
thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoyed the game. I sadly knew of the bug while uploading, i was too sleepy to fix it, as it turns out it was just a 5 minute fix xD oops
Cool art and I played twice cuz yeah, I didn't read the instructions as well. The ending is well done too. My favorite fish is that small little gold fish :)
