I enjoy to play this game, that was funny. All assets are weirds and that make sense (Lol). A bit short.

Good job !

The idea/story was very fun and charming! I also liked the mechanics of switching between the different states of the world and how it looked :D

Interesting ending as well, wasn't expecting it!

Really humurous game, Light hearted and good old fashioned fun

The first thing, which impress you on this game is its funny name. This was only original reason why i played it, but when I started to play I saw, that this game has lot more to offer me. In addition to the funny name, the game has a interesting mechanics. On the other hand, design is not a strong part of the entry. I know that not everybody (including me) has artistic talent, but you should find some artistic references to follow next time. Then you'll see, that you can do better art.

Loved the mechanic. Really fit nice and snug into the theme.

Ooh man what a sad end for all of us heroes of the bug killing! LOL

Congratz on the awsome game idea!

Really neat mechanic! Loved the twist end.

This matches the Theme so much. Really good work. Just need a bit of polishing. :)

Super cool concept! The story was pretty well done and told in a cool way. I did encounter a bug, spoiler...

After fixing the game and going on the second run, if u die at the lake area, it would send you back to the "This jump is impossible sequence" and had to replay through the whole falling down into the code sequence

Overall, cool game! Would love to see the story get more developed.

Developer

Oh man, I must have forgotten to remove a trigger 😂

Will be sure to fix that after the Jam!

wow this was such a neat and unique game! I loved your take on the theme and that bug vision was seriously awesome. Amazing job!

Submitted(+1)

As stated by others here in the comments section, you nailed it at the "bug vision" feature. Not only this was very innovative but it also fits the theme so much. I just missed the SE's and BGM's.

Also, I saw in the comments that you made this whole thing in just two days, which impresses me a lot. I made mine in 4, and the game isn't nearly as big as yours! Nice job!

I really liked the "view the code to see the bugs" mechanic, that was super neat.  It was a neat interpretation of the "it is not real" theme as well.  I thought the story could use some more, but considering it was a week long jam, it was really good :) Congrats!

Developer

Initially, I had a more fleshed-out version of the story but I had exams and was only able to work on the last two days and I had to cut out most of the story to make it in time😂

Submitted(+1)

Oh wow!!  Good job on building this in 2 days then!!

Submitted(+1)

Clever. Clever indeed! This was funny! Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Cool way to fit the theme!

Very cool game! I was really impressed with the shifting feature and the story was intriguing. If I had to give criticism id say maybe add music to it to set atmosphere. Could even bug the music out in the shifted world?

Developer

I wanted to add audio unfortunately it was too late and I was too tired to work on Audio😂

but if I plan to do something after the jam ends, it's adding audio to the game. I also wanted to add some polish or camera effects for getting into and out of the "code" world but working shaders isn't my strongest suits 😂

The story is cool and the twist is great. Its cool that its nod a long game.

This was a really cool idea and I love games when it turns out you're the "bad guy." I also like that you're killing bugs which resemble bugs in the code in order to fix the world. Great job :)

Cool game, I like the story  and the glitch effects are nicely done!

Maybe you could add that you have to press space to progress the dialog, I was stuck for a minute because I thought it had to be one of the controls you listed.

Developer(+1)

oh, forgot to say Space was also an input 😂

I was super sleep deprived and forgot all about it while doing the itch page😂😂

Submitted

I totally feel you 😂. Sleep and gamejams don't go well together

It is a very interesting game and it was a lot of fun.

It's a fun idea and the graphics are whimsical. Somehow, I was always jumping, without pressing any button, is this intended?

I liked how there was a little story, and the first time you enter the matrix was a cool surprise.

I had fun.

Developer

"It's not a bug it's a feature"😂

It wasn't really intentional but the entire basis is that the game is buggy and was left aside so maybe it could be?😂

space key moves forward the dialogue but is also a jump button which is why you jump after every dialogue, but not sure if there were other bugs that had the player jump randomly😂
