Nice game! I like it :D
Thanks, man!
Love the concept- the more projectiles you fire make the game slightly harder, with some enemies benefiting from it (like the vortex one).
Yup! Exactly! That's what we were hoping for. I wanted to present the player with the interesting decision of: spam and be good at dodging or be slow and methodical.
Would like to see the Gravity Mechanics expanded on!
Would love to expand on it. Thanks for taking the time to check it out! :)
Wow, nice game! The graphic style is very unique and the mechanics are very creative. I was a bit confused at first with the mechanics, but the black hole idea and the healing were cool once I figured them out.
Very valuable feedback, thank you! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ideally, if it had been a longer Jam, we would've spent a bit more time clarifying some of the underlying mechanics and elements that exist. An example of this is the barrier that limits the play area. In retrospect, it needed to be more defined, or always visible, and potentially have more variance (a custom area rather than a set box).
We'll certainly try and improve clarity in the future, thanks for the feedback!
Yup, it can be hard to find time to make a tutorial when there is a strict time limit. Great job on the game overall though!
Damn you made a really impressive game here man. Real fun to play. My only complaint is that it's not entirely clear on everything. For example there's a sound cue for when that vortex enemy starts eating your spawn, but it'd be shown a lot better if the actual vortex part of the ship turned on. As for healing and the black hole mechanic, that went over my head too, I still don't get where it goes when I shoot it out.
Thanks! I'm really glad you liked it and had fun.
This is valuable feedback thank you. We tried to show that by having the large orange effect around him. Was that perhaps not rendering for you (graphical glitch)?
RE: "bacl hole mechanic". Thank, you, I really appreciate this feedback. I will work to make this clearer in the future. It is supposed to just be a second projectile that sucks up other projectiles and if you kill with it, it heals you.
Amazing job! I love this game and everything in it! Keep up the good work!
Aye! Its the bread guy. Thanks a ton for your feedback. Very happy you enjoyed it.
Great job! I really quite like this game.
Thanks, man :) Glad to have a real raccoon's input =]
I managed to reach till wave 5, probably cause I actually suck, but damn the VFX in this is really good, at first I found the mechanics confusing, but I got used to it later, to be honest I do feel you could increase the sound on the effects, maybe that's just me, but great game honestly!
Thanks for taking the time to play! I really appreciate it.
Makes sure you got to use the blackhole and don't damage yourself!
Really great work! Cool art and sound, and the mechanics are unique and cool! Difficulty spiked up pretty hard at wave 7 for me, I survived but then ended up killing my self with those gross spawn :D
Haha, make sure you're using your blackhole to remove your own spawn if need-be! It adds a lot! Thanks for taking the time to play. I really appreciate it!
The game was quite fun to play. The idea of manipulating bullets with black holes is very unique. I did find that the boundaries of the area were unclear until you right up against them, this led me trapped against walls a lot of the time with little idea of where I am.
I'm super happy that you had fun. This is very valid feedback and I will learn from this (first time). Our next one will be better. Thank you!
Amazing game!! congratulations.
Thank you! :)
Loved the dynamic element using a black hole. Really cool concept! The art and the sounds are perfect!
Thank you so much for the feedback! We love that you enjoyed it! :)
the concept in itself is pretty interesting and you made it quite fun ! The blackholes making you think about the trajectory to hit behind the shield of certain ennemy is a very cool idea and the game overall looks and sounds pretty great.
Thank you, this was my first game with audio and the audio guys totally KILLED it, so I'm glad you liked the audio.
I'm glad you had fun!
Simple but mastered ! the visuals work really well, the UI is very good about informations and their understanding, and the difficulty curve is well made.
Thank you so much! I am very proud of the difficulty curve, so I appreciate this comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
The black hole physics mechanics do put an interesting layer of gameplay on top of the usual top down shooting. I did notice however that you can get hurt by your own shots and black hole(!), which ended a few of my runs.
Hi Crow! Thanks again for the advice earlier. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The self-hurt is intentional, but I can see now that we should make it clearer (if only we had more time). That's my masochism sneaking into my work. Thanks again for taking the time!
I had a bit of trouble finding out the controls, but once I understood them the game felt great. The dynamics created by the match of the alt fire and normal fire are really interesting and most of the patterns are fun to play around. I love the aesthetic and how polished the game felt while keeping it's old school vibes from it's texturing!
Thanks so much, Sneaky! "polished" is a great compliment in a gamejam =]
Glad you had fun!
I liked the concept of having alt fire be the black hole. It was cool using the black hole to sling bullets around the enemies shields. I also like the enemy charge up attacks and some of the AI scatter movement.
For some reason it was a little disorienting to move around. Maybe because the background was static?
Overall, good entry for the bullet hell game jam.
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you liked it.
I totally understand that. We tried a few things but it's hard in space. I plan to fix this. Thank you.
I love this concept! It actually manages to put a new spin on the old, classic top down shooter. It is a little bit confusing at first. Also it's 3d, that's always a big plus!
Thank you for the feedback! :)
Would love to hear more about what was confusing about it, though! I want to get better at making things less confusing.
It took me a while to realize that my own bullets were comming back, so I kept searching for enemies that did not exist. But mostly it was the camera movement and the fact that the border is not always visible. That's mostly issues during earlygame though.
Thanks for taking time to reply! Helpful advice!
really interesting game! i like the style a lot and having your main attack also damage you is an interesting concept, the black hole is one of the most interesting things about this definitely and completely changes how the player interacts with a lot of the enemies! nice job!
I'm so happy you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to play it :)
Using my own bullets (and my panic firing) against me! Mean :P
Great job. Brought a lot of good elements together to create a fun game.
Replay ability too, as the enemies changed on each play through.
Looks and sounds good, handles really well. Enjoyed it :). Will be back to this for more I feel
Now having played again, and read the control :P, the Black hole weapon is great! ,really adds some more strategy and fun to the game. Great concept that.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Peter! Means a lot!
