I love 3D platformers and definitely feel there are not enough of them anymore, so this was a welcome surprise! There were some good platforming challenges here, especially with the disappearing platforms, but as others have mentioned, the floaty jump made it a little too difficult to correctly judge where you would land. I would also recommend adding an animation or sound to jumping on the clams, as I could not tell right away whether landing on them actually did anything. I also experienced a bug in the second level, in the rocky area with all the little water spouts, where I landed in a slight indent between two rocks and could not jump, as the game thought I was still falling. Overall this has a lot of potential and just needs more polish, excellent work!
Wall Jump was 10/10.
It's extremely fun to wall-jump around. Regular jumps felt a bit too floaty and hard to control. It might be worth playing around with the character movement component settings a bit and tweaking the in-air control variables.
Overworld had me laughing, it was an interesting experience. It kind of reminded me of Goat Simulator a little bit
Cool game! Got lost in level 2, found the secret area but not where I was meant to go, oops! I think focusing on polish than content would be nice, especially for game jams, but the level design is nice! (even if some sections are unclear). I personally don't like the lives mechanic, just makes it a bit frustrating especially since they are shared between levels. I experienced a bug where reading sign whilst moving doesn't stop your, making you walk off the edge and lose all your lives (oops again) I really like the level select area, very smart to tie everything together. (also cool how the pollution so bad they even got smoke underwater!)
I had a lot of fun with it! The controls felt a little floaty, although given the setting I guess that's kind of appropriate, haha. The wall jumping actually felt weirdly satisfying. I had a lot of fun with that.
I don't think I ran into any bugs, but I did get to the top of the big area in level 2 and I had no idea where to go. It took me a while to figure out that I was supposed to jump down and that's where the boss was. So that could maybe be a bit better telegraphed. Also, I'm curious, was there anything inside that box that was on top of that mountain? I saw an opening but couldn't get inside of it because of the spikes.
The trash giving smoke was actually a really interesting idea. As you clean it up the level visually gets clearer, which I thought was really neat. It was a little short on the fish, though. I liked the tuna taxi, but otherwise that was the only fish I saw in the game, I believe.
A great 3D platformer!
Also there is a bug where the boss killed me but then soon after I killed it in the death screen.
I really like what's going on in this game, and it's got a lot going on. It's got a fun and silly energy to it that made me smile when I first loaded in to the yacht. The platforming was a little tough, and I also had the infinite death checkpoint in the tutorial, but it was engaging enough. The animations were charming and the sound design was spot-on. I would suggest a little more in-air control for the platforming if you're going to have precision jumps like some of the ones you had, though!
Nice and well executed game, and interesting platforming idea! But wow 2 Giga is absolutely insane for a game jam submission ahah !
Hahah! Thank you so much for playing. How should I get the GB lower? I'm working on the GPU optimization for 1.0.4 but still not sure how to get this game lower. Thanks for your time. I can't wait to check out The Last Shell tonight on stream!
Check out the size map in UE5 it helped me trim down my file a bunch, by highlighting my biggest problem assets.

Usually, you can only do so much, other than remove unused assets (especially out of starter content if you import that in your project) but you could potentially retopologize some of the heavier assets with Blender, and I believe there are some options for compressing sound files and the way unreal packages the project assets up in the final build, but I haven't figured out how that all works yet.
That was a big download and it brought my computer to turn on all the fans. D:
Fun idea for a platformer, although the controls feel really floaty. I think you got a lot of content in, but could have invested more time into polishing. One checkpoint (I think it was the second one) in the tutorial is placed so that if you respawn, you instantly die again. When hitting escape, there is no possibility to continue the game - only let's you return to the main menu or to the party boat - not really great if you hit the button far into a level.
All in all a nice entry, but needs more polishing.
1. Oh my goodness I'm fixing this immediately!
2. I'm not too sure how to bring the download size down for these unreal games, but I'm happy you've said so!
3. I'll place an escape button! I thought escape again will leave the menu? I'll check when at the workstation again, but you button idea is much better anyways, I will add!
Thank you so so much.
Look for your username added to the special thanks in the next version (1.0.4)!
EDIT:
Just added the unpause button! Thanks again
Wasn't really what I was expecting when looking at the cover art XD. A fun platformer, although I quite sucked at it (I got stuck on level two :'), or is there only two levels ?). I do think some parts require a bit too much precision for this type of controls (like the on/off platforms on level two, I ended up just wall-jumping off the stone pillars lol). I was also confused on where to go after the final help sign on level two, although I didn't take the tuna taxi so sorry if that was the way to progress the level.
I also had some performance issues on level two, most probably because the entire level was rendered at once. I'd suggest limiting rendering to a certain distance from the camera like here ; https://dev.epicgames.com/documentation/fr-fr/unreal-engine/visibility-and-occlu... and using lower resolution models (Level of Detail/LOD) or just an image for far viewing (https://docs.unrealengine.com/4.26/en-US/WorkingWithContent/Types/StaticMeshes/H...).
Overall, however, it's a great first game and impressive that you made it in one week ! Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!!
1. I am working on a trailer to help sell the visuals, but I think I forgot screenshots! You're totally right.
2. I will increase the time counter for the platforms, I have found this difficult as well. Wall jumping is totally cool! But might not be the fastest for a speed run! Not sure who will be my WR when I post it... ha!
3. The final help sign, I will update to tell you to look for a spike coral ring to jump through!
4 . The Tuna Taxi Service you found was their end point. They have a secret spot in the level that has a different purpose
porpoise!5. Performance Issues. I AM SO thankful for you, you have no idea. Those link will help me so much in this next build and future development. I was scratching my hair out with the organization discipline that level streaming requires, and your 5a. visibility and 5b. LOD solutions will help immensely. I swear LOD was default thing unreal does, But if im importing sketchfab Static Meshes its possible I have to let unreal know to build lower quality LODS instead of just LOD0? Will need some testing. THANK YOU!!! 馃檹 馃枻
i single-handedly cleaned the whole ocean amidst a cruise gone wrong lol. this game has a real charm to it, you can tell a lot of thought went into it. fave part was the tuna taxi. more fish characters would be cool! very impressive still how much was done in a week :)
Hahahah! I can't believe you beat the game and did all yourself. You legend!
The Tuna Taxi service surely doesn't get enough tips 馃槀
Your comment really helped me get through the motivation to pursue the gam jam livestream.
I played and reviewed your game on my livestream "Fish Fry Fry Fish" at 00:11:18. Happy to connect and can't wait to see your next games and development logs!
