Really lovely game, the visuals are amazing.
Well. Goddamn. Not only was the whole, you know, really crazy and interesting, the fishing itself is polished and responsive. I don't know what to say about this other than easy 5 stars across the board and that I also love that you have the ability to create games.
Ok, wow, I never expected such a crazy twist. The graphics are unexpectedly good. It fits the game perfectly and looks stunning. (I always wonder how people can make such crazy/cool graphics). The music is just perfect. It made the situation a lot more tense and also created fear in me, so really great job.
I really hope you continue to develop the game.
The fishing animations feel smooth and polished. The audio design is phenomenal, how the sounds are progressing towards end made me feel uncanny. The visuals are beautiful and add to the experience.
thanks omar
Great game! Awesome visuals!
This is really interesting! I wish I knew more about the blood mechanic, but I get that you were trying to keep it mysterious. And by the end I was just kind of dropping the lure, because that seemed to be the best method.
INCREDIBLE!! Love the visuals and audio atmosphere. Super immersive. All of the sounds and visual feedback were so tight, I just wanted to keep on playing. I like how rapidly you can catch fish once you get in a rhythm of it. It felt like a creative spin on the fishing mechanics. I'm not sure if it had an impact, but I was compelled to move my cursor to change the angle of the rod while I was reeling. It would be cool if that kind of finesse was built in to add a layer on top of the red light / green light system.
Visually extremely unique and stunning. I think this game could be onto the 'Inscryption' of the fishing genre!
Amazing work! Best fishing game I've ever played. Omar was satisfied and so was I
Very very kind words! At first the rods positioning played a much bigger part, but I scrapped it last minute because when people played my game they thought it felt unresponsive, it would be interesting to make it play a bigger part if I ever revisit.
You are 100% right about my inspiration from Inscryption, it is one of my favorite games atmospherically. Thanks again for the very nice comment
An Ordinary Fishing Trip is very unique with its graphics and story. The PS2 type art style was one of the parts I liked most, the twist about giving to "Omar" was also a unique twist to the standard trope of calm and fun fishing.
A definitely ordinary fishing game with a nice change of scenery. It even has a nice guy named Omar who really likes fish and tells you to take all the time you need :D. In all seriousness though, a great game with a fun (?) twist on fishing. One thing that could be improved in my opinion is emphasizing the design difference between the two types of fish a bit more. I wasn't really sure if I differentiated all of them correctly. All in all, awesome work !
SPARE ME OMAR PLEASE, I NEVER MEANT THIS TO HAPPEN, I JUST RAN OUT OF TIME!!!!!
This game is SO COOL! I was not expecting such a creepy twist to a totally normal fishing game. I had so much fun playing this game, I was able to cheat death twice! I love the visuals in this game, they are so unique and reminds me of old retro TV screens. 10/10, would play again.
very good! I cheated death twice and got 54 fish!
