Absolutely lovely game, brilliant music and graphics! Well done on this game jam, had a blast playing it

Thank you very much :D

The dialogue around his mom is quite familiar... Although my parents won't do any hiding on computer to prevent me play game, at least not directly.

Would like to see how the character uses the sword, but I guess the main point of this game is around his mother, so no combat involved. Also, just noticed that he doesn't wears pants/trouser from the thumbnail, it's cute, I guess. (Main menu shows that as well, just didn't noticed that before)

By the way, nice game!

Developer(+1)

Haha yeah, I think a lot of us can relate ;)

Regarding the sword, exactly, however we could still implement some fun stuff to do with it that wouldn't be related to the mum. We'll see in the future.

Regarding the briefs, exactly, it's a private joke for French people haha, Slip means Briefs in French, so that's why we called the game this way :p

Very nice game, the 3D art and the music were both really good and the gameplay was fun as well.

For the first time in this jam I think I have nothing negative to say, impressive.

Also, the end screen really got me, I waiter for like a minute just staring the screen if anything would happen... nothing ever happened XD

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you very much for this much appreciated heartwarming message :D We're really happy you liked it.

Yes there should be a "The End" screen, but you might have had a bug that didn't show it to you, sorry about that :/

Love the art, and it was a fun game :D. (Music overlapped at the end but it was pretty good the rest of the game)

Also, as soon as I saw the outer wilds mask, the sun explosion music came into my head xD

Developer(+1)

I see you are a man of culture as well ;)

Thank you for playing the game and for the nice feedback!

Wow great poly game,  so many Cli-ché in this game too.

Great graphics and very nice music! The story is so nice and wholesome too! Great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot :D

The game had such cute 3d, I was disappointed when the boss battle was just 2d. Would have been nicer if it was a 3d bullet hell where you'd get to use the sword to clear off bullets. I know it has to do with your theme interpretation but just saying. Story is pretty nice.

Developer

Thank you very much for trying the game!

Yes it was a bold choice to switch from 3D to 2D, we indeed wanted it to be a reference to Undertale and also not hurt the mother as we want the story to be about growth and understanding more than anything else. However I agree that it would have been cool to use the sword, we used it more as a joke here. Maybe we'll add something once the jam is over :)

Bravo! Bravo! This was great! The music was great. I really enjoyed the story.

I don't know if it was intentionally to let me win in the end after die... I mean losing so many times in the boss battle. I was invincible. It was hard to see some of the boss's dialogue to know what she was saying entirely cuz the character was stuck running and clipped where the dialogue bubble showed.

The characters and environment are super cute and fitting. It just all comes together really well.

Developer

Hey Psynut, thank you for taking the time to try our game and for your nice comment!

We're glad you liked it :D

No it was actually not intentional, you unfortunately ran into a bug that we didn't have time to fix before the jam ended :/. We've published a fixed version, the link can be found in the itch.io page. However, the boss is sometimes hard for some people so it ensured that people could actually see the ending even if they didn't manage to pass it x).

Maybe some difficulty management would be good but we had no time for that unfortunately.

Thanks again :)

This was an excellent game, lots of fun!  I really wanted to swing that sword though, hahaha.  Maybe on an update.  Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks a lot :D

Yeah maybe some untapped potential with that sword, I agree. It's a great idea, we'll see once the jam ends if we find a fun way to use it ;)

Thank you for taking the time to try our game and giving us some feedback :)

Cheers!

Music is some of the best I have heard this jam. Art was really cool too. In the first room with all the chests, I think the game broke. I couldn't open half of them. I went to the top left door and it reset the room for me, but then nothing spawned anymore and I couldn't use any door after that. Overall, really cool entry!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedbacks ! You didn't reset the room after passing the door but entered in the next one (Sorry if it's not clear) after that you should try to solve the next puzzle (Try to take a look at every tiny pixels of the room;) )

Submitted(+2)

Love the art and music!
I got stuck in the room with the chest that you can walk through.

did anyone figure that out?

Developer(+1)

Hello, cavetowerstudios I'm glad you liked the art and music ! Regarding the room did you tried to pick the chest and use it somewhere  ^^' ?

Developer

Hello! Thanks for your feedback and for trying the game :)

Just in case you'd like to give it another try, we've updated the itch page with the puzzle solutions.

Cheers :)

Excellent Tribute to games and fit perfect with the theme. Musics are INSANE and visuals are polish AF. Overall top tier :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you man <3 and thanks for your help

The graphics blew me away, and the boss battle was really fun. The story had such huge twists as to give me whiplash.
I wish the sword was used more, and I really wish there was more *content*. Overall, it is good for what it is.

Developer

Thanks a lot for trying the game and your comment :D, we're glad you liked it.

Yes indeed, the sword is only a joke and cliché at the moment, but we'll try to find a fun feature to do with it once the jam is over, hopefully.
