GOOD GAME , KEPP ON !

Submitted

Good job on the game!

I like the ideas presented in the game. The scaling mechanic was fun, and I liked how the character movement felt. The game had a nice flow to it as well.

I did not realize until the end of the first level that I had to kill all the enemies to finish the level. Maybe an extra hint on the title screen can make that more clear.

Overall, fun little game!

Nice little game! I enjoyed the scaling mechanic and I thought the levels had a decent amount of variety. Really appreciated the checkpoint system as well. The enemy types were interesting, they were a bit difficult to jump on sometimes with the slow acceleration. The enemy design is rather basic, but the whole game is a bit abstract so it didn't take away from the experience too much. I liked the background! I also thought the ending of the second level was a neat idea, nice work!

thanks !

It's a fun little game. However, I think that the ball could be more responsive and faster gameplay. Nice to see that you implemented waypoints it was very helpful! ;)

Good job!

Nice game, I didn't notice the hints options so I had to figure out how to kill the boss myself. The boss having a separate shape or design could be better.

aha, good game! we share parts of ideas! resize the body to encounter different roads. You got 2 levels which is cool, I dont have time...

A good platformer, I liked that if you fall you don’t have to start the level from the very beginning! True, it was not obvious that you need to defeat all the figures and not just go around them to complete the level, so I had to go back :)

Thank you! Good to hear you like it!

I think the instruction on touching the star is unclear. You only have to kill the final enemies (Jumping in the first one & Final 3 enemies in 2nd level)

nice theme implementation and very challanging :D , nice job

Thank you!

Fun little game.  The health scaling was very clever.  When I jumped on and killed two hexagons, only to have the third one pop out spikes, I felt it was a bit unfair.  I was lead to believe you could jump on them and then the rules changed suddenly without indication.  I actually had a very similar idea to yours.  It was interesting to see the difference in how we implemented a similar mechanic.  Oh and I liked the parallax background too.

Thanks!

I played your game, it's very good. Similar mechanics! I was able to find all 18 skeletons!

So happy to hear that. Thanks for taking the time to play my game too.

Impressive Ai for enemy. A lot of games made it so that you could scale your character but not a lot of them made it have such an effect on your gameplay. Nice work!

I like the ball sprite wish enemies also have something like that.  Enemy AI was actually doing good but people always confuse this part. A good Enemy AI objective is not to kill you actually help you play in a challenging way. Soft blue enemies were very hard to deal while also trying to navigate.

I had problems about going up the platforms. I am not sure but I think when jumping scaling down was helping to go upper. I guess this was intended but was not conveyed well enough by game play.

If the game did not have a save system  I would not have finished it.  It was working strange but I am glad you put it there.

Edit: I also struggle a lot on that jumping platform and find out the tactic to deal with it very late. The biggest reason is the platforms were not behaving the same. One platform was going UP when I am BIG for example.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, I agree enemies should have sprites.

For platforms, platforms work differently based on the size of the ball. Some platforms cannot lift large balls, so you have to be small. While some are strong enough to lift the ball even if you are the biggest.

I liked the idea of having a different amount of life related to your size. Congrats!

Aww, I really liked this game, I like the game feel of sliding up and down in size and weight, it felt satisfying. There were some nice touches, like that you HP got smaller as you got smaller. The level design was thought out. I also really like that it had health points and if you died you didn’t have to start again, it was accessible. The graphics were also lovely. XD

Happy to hear you liked it!

There was this annoying bug where I couldn't jump on a falling platform after landing, specifically that moving one in level 2, but besides that a good game!

Developer

Thank you for reporting the bug and providing a detailed description. Based on your description, I believe you are referring to a bug on this platform (attached image). Could you please confirm if this aligns with the problem you encountered? If you are referring to a different platform, could you kindly attach the relevant image for better understanding? Your assistance is much appreciated.

No, it is the one that moves up and down if you are not on it, but if you are on it it falls. It is also the first different colored platform of level 2. I couldn't get a screenshot because the posting thing wouldn't let me :).

To get the bug, I was the biggest player, and I got it sometimes by jumping off the left block in the pic, spamming space before hitting the block, and then trying to hit space just as I hit the block. I think the bug stops happening after you get the bug twice, but I do not know. Doing this makes it somewhat easy to get after reloading.

Developer

Ok got it

It's a part of level design. The platform is not strong enough to carry you in full size. You have to adjust your size to overcome such obstacles. If you reduce your size the platform will not fall and you will be able to pass through it with ease.

This is a solid, fun and simple game, great job! It's super cute to look at too.

Thank you!

Very great interpretation of the theme!  Good job!

Submitted(+1)

I like how you interpreted the theme, and the way that it was implemented in your game. I had fun playing, well done!

Those blue flying enemies are the bane of my existence.  A fun play even if its hard to stomp on enemy heads. Perhaps a way to stun them or give them some lag time after moving to attack the player. Great work!

fun interesting game! I particularly like the mechanic of health depending on the scale.
