a quite unique game in this jam i think. i liked it!

HAHAHAHAAA!
"The boar's severed head watches intently as you pluck each apple"
is my favourite line of all the nearly 100 games I have tried so far!

cool idea and great flavour texts, though it is a bit unclear how you actually prepare best for ragnarok: is it how much warriors you have or how much beer? there seems to be a lot of systems in place but as a player it is uncertain what they actually mean for the end goal and so each "descision" is just a random button click. hope, you will get there, though.

Something new and unique! If you add how to play section then people will enjoy it more.

Its a cool concept, but im not sure what i do in this game:D I think you have a really cool idea here. Work a bit more at the game entry. Makes it easier for the player to understand what mechanics are important for what. Then it will be an excellent game. All in all a great work:)

Cool incremental game concept applied to the jam theme. It was a bit confusing, not knowing what activity to do.

Interesting idea. It's unclear how the score is calculated so its hard to know what strategy to employ. In my second run through I seemed to get to a point where happiness was stuck at around 40% and my warriors stayed drunk and could battle forever. Only got a score of 100k for that run though.
Don't know what the apples did?
A little formatting on the numbers - like the score at the end, would be a help, and some kind of quide to see how good or bad your score was. I don't know if you ever played Civilizations? At the end of a run, you get a score and then its given a context based on famous leaders in history. Just having an idea of how big of a score you need to win would help.

I don't know if this was originally designed to run in a different resolution? I found the screen space wasn't well utlisied, with the "story" squashed in the bottom right, the statuses having loads up room up in the left and then just a load of blank space in the middle

The mechanic is really unique  - management system is really intersting.

Also the sound selection is really good:)

I think maybe some little info will help  as it is not clear from the beginning how to build a strategy. Also some visual art (for the quests for example)may also look good:)

A pretty unique game.  I would recommend some sfx or pictures/animations to convey the story. All in all, good job.

Cool game! It was nice to have some visuals or some sounds to represent what are you doing.

Interesting game, I think things could be expanded on, no idea what we need to reach to win the game, so its just a guess if I have enough. More visuals, more indications of what you need and what you are getting will help. But overall I liked the game :)

A very calming game about training warriors for the end times! I really like the mechanics and how they interact with each other. Liked the idea of the quests too but maybe they could be more of a risk/reward choice! The status effects were fun, I wish there were more of them. Sadly my warriors were too fat for Ragnarok.

Rated! Loved the idea too!

Played and rated. I couldn't manage to beat Ragnarok, my warriors were not drunk enough I guess!

At first I thought there was visual gameplay so I was confused. But when trying again I managed to get further and understand the concept more and more.

If the concept was more explained I think it would have been more fun since the start. I didn't understand the use of experience.

The music is nice, but the game lacks sound effects.

The quest system was a very surprising fun moment, but it was not clear how to complete them.

Overall a nice visual-less management game, but could be improved with a clearer concept and more effects.

Would appreciate if you check out and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/rise-of-necromancy

You had quests?! I didn't have quests. What did I do wrong?

Submitted

Yes at some point further quests started popping up. It might be related to the actions I was doing.

Submitted

No Idea how to win this game but at least my warriors were drunk like hell.

Would be nice to have some feedback on what you actually need. liked the narrative aspects. It felt quite long cause there was not much feedback to the player...

Great game, I Lost but it was still fun

I loved this. The general narrative aesthetic was outstanding. Often I did feel kind of clueless as to which task I should be doing at any given time, but at the same time it gave me something to think about. Phenomenal job!

Congrats on completing the jam! I liked the concept of a management game (we also had a happiness resource!) and I thought your quests and the flavor was really good. I think you could have been a little more clear on what a winning score is, or how it is calculated... I failed but wasn't given enough feedback to figure out what I did wrong or how to improve.

It was a nice experience, with an interesting story and quests, but the game objectives were not clear.

I scored around 450k points but failed. It doesn't say anywhere in the game what's the goal score or how it's calculated, so it's hard for the player to know what they did right or wrong.

Fun little management game. I liked the status system you had going on. Wasn't sure about what ratio to have for xp and warriors though,  guessing your just supposed to train to not be unhappy?
