Nice one, I loved the music and the GB vibes. Although, better replace mouse fire with some other key to keep really true to it ;-)

Nice work for a first-time solo dev! There are some funny bugs, and the camera height-changes can be a bit disorienting, but the core game is not bad! Platforming felt nice, and I liked the inclusion of a high and low jump. Feels like Mario!

Great music, the strongest point of this entry !! Nice little platerformer-shooter game, maybe a bit short, but time in jam run alway to fast ^^

I think you capture the old-school platformer shooter mixture pretty well! The audio is cool too :) Not sure why, but I had to get used to the controls a little. Somehow it isn't as intuitive for me. Anyway, as your 1st game jam i think you did a great job!

Had a good time with this - my character vanished at one point in the first level, which I actually thought was really fun (future invisible mode? ;)  ) .  Great job overall, and keep it up!

I mean it's a pretty stock standard, nothing really major to say, the audio is good the art is fine and it plays fine. it's definitely short and the second level is kinda broken but it is a first project so it's not that bad. overall a pretty fine entry

I have played plenty of games in this jam that are a lot less playable than this! And I didn't encounter any bugs on my playthrough. Ok, the game itself might be a bit basic, but you have to start somewhere. Music was very authentic. Nice work.

Developer

Thanks a lot. Definitely basic. I'm not really into Platformers, so didn't have the heart for the game, was more of a see if I could do it. Didn't want to put more time into a genre that Isn't my cup of tea.

I read in the description that this is your first game for a jam. That's amazing! It's way better than the first game I made for a jam. I encountered some minor bugs, like one time I fell into a pit and didn’t get a game over. But those are things that can be fixed in the future.

The music is very pleasant, and I liked the character sprites. Welcome to the wonderful world of Jams; I hope you participate in many more!

Thanks a lot also. Yeah I've experience that bug of falling and not dying, lol, I thought I fixed it, but I see that I didn't haha. Definitely will do some more Jams!

Looks very game boy-y! And i like the soundtrack. I also appreciated the friendly bats, who really tried their best not to harm me :) Nice touch with the jump-back when you do get damaged, also felt game boy-y! Sure, there were some bugs, but it was playable! If I can say one thing, maybe don't have only the mouse for shooting next time!

Good job!

Developer

Thank you very much. And yeah good point about the mouse, I just used the default PlayerInput, I probably should have changed it, haha
