Very nice!
Thank you :3
Excellent entry, light hearted with comical ending, each palette gave me different feel, beautiful.
The broom closet is profound, one of the coolest soundtrack I heard during the Jam. This unique dedication, remind me of the Stanley Parable.
In terms of gameplay, I think the camera could have a smaller bounding box to make the exploration easier, without having to reach the screen edge to scroll the scene.
Great effort, keep improving, and hope you guys realize the complete escape room!
Blushing over here! Thank you for the kind words!
Will add bounding box!
did you get the broom closet ending?amazing game I hope you expand upon it if I had one criticism it would be that the movement is a bit to floaty for me
Thanks for playing! Might adjust floatyness, had no time for play testing!
Art and soundtrack were great, though I found the way the camera only panned when you moved to the edge kinda annoying, and would've preferred some lead space on the camera panning to see in the direction the ghost is going.
In all, a good blend of spooky and silly.
Good input; we will definitely add a bounding box to the ghost when the jam is over.
Thank you for playing and reviewing!
I think i would of loved this when it was fully realised the animation and art is really nice and i can see the time and effort that wouldof went into making this game!
Thank you!
Nice work, would love to see the escape room idea expanded. I'm now convinced that even broom closets deserve theme songs!
Broom closets are integral to our concept of game design. Our next game will take place solely in one. Watch this space!
I like the menacing broom-closet theme
thanks👻
We got in a call together to stream this game being played, and the consensus is that it's delightful. The decision to make the ghost bob around like it's skating on ice might be divisive but I think the artistic vision there is so solid. The 'imagine this room, we ran out of time' text gag was wonderful, the broom closet having its own music track is really funny, and the art scattered throughout is so charming (the kitty cat statue with paws that look like angel wings, the painting in the art gallery that's like weirdly violent to the point it's silly). The end screen with Dracula being burnt up from the sunlight is also even a little bit haunting! All in all, so solid!
Thanks a lot for the thorough review!!
I'm glad yous enjoyed our lil game! =)))
Dracula finally gets what he deserves! The intro animation was really good and the game overall was a treat.
Good on you, slaying that menace of a count!
Thanks for playing and commenting!
Dracula died. Cause of death: Interior design.
Lovely experience, love the tone and the presentation. It would feel better to explore without having to push the camera so close to the edges.
Awesome entry, congrats!
Thank you for your kind words and your constructive criticism 😊
Wow, incredible art! I also loved the way the character had a nice float to them, perfectly suited the character.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Haha, I loved the cheeky humor. The sound effects were really good and the art was spooky. I loved the intro and outro animations too. Great job! :)
Thank you! =))))
You've heard of "point and click" now we've got "scoot and spook"
^^,
A nice refreshing genre for the this jam amongst the platformers and RPGs. Easy to pick up and play! I got a giggle out of the dining room. Well done!
Cheers! Yeah, we had such grandiose plans, but in the end we were just happy to ship anything!
