Couldn't get past the pong, for whatever reason pong against myself was too disorienting to score above about 350.
The music is decent, the graphics look nice, but would not translate well to a GameBoy screen. The if we exclude the weird JPEG-like background noise, I count six colors easily. The sprites (for Pong) are built for what seems to be around a 250-300 pixel wide screen area. (There's about 4-5x upscaling into a 1000+-pixel-wide screen area.) And there's a bit of anti-aliasing in there to boot.

Functionally, I'd prefer having the option to choose minigames instead of having to beat one to play another one.

The game was mechanically sound, I will give it that. Some QoL, rendering, and sprite tweaks and it'd be right there with a GameBoy feel.

Look, this is my first Game Jam, and I used the palette correctly. I think the 4-color rule is right.

the games were simple and challenging, but it does lack the gameboy soul a bit. you still gave me one heck of a feat to overcome with that bomb challenge at the end.  :)

This game is rad. Quick and simple little minigames-- kind of reminds me of Wario-ware. And I like the graphics.

The second game was difficult. Nonetheless, I enjoyed playing everything. Well done!

Simple but nice game. The second level is quite challenging. The music and sound effects are also nice. Well done.

I'll definitely revisit this when you update it with more games, cool stuff!

Cool idea! The second game is very hard. But it was fun. Good job.

If I said I was only expecting 2 mini games, I would be lying, lol. I wanted more hahaha. Overall, the idea is good, surely there wasn’t enough time to implement more mini games, but I would like to see everything that would have been implemented with enough time.

Nice game and art, i think its too hard tho

Classic games with a spook theme? Nice idea. One point less in "gameboy soul" from needing to use the mouse to press on start though. I didn't pass the bomb trouble. Restarting three times with 00 is too brutal for a game jam.

Nice idea and execution! I liked the graphics and soundtracks and the changing gameplay. Maybe (but i'm a noob) the games could be shorter: it's kinda hard! Good job!

Hi!!!

Thanks for your comments! I understand the second minigame is quite challenging. Unfortunately, I didn’t include an option to skip it. However, a helpful tip is to watch for the alert on the screen and try to rotate between the bombs as the speed increases. I hope this helps!

And I want to thank everyone who enjoyed the game!

Yo this definitely hit the game boy soul how it takes so long to beat the game with a simple mechanic, pretty good graphics and music too!

I love the idea and the vibe. but it’s sooo difficult. I hardly managed to play pong against myself, but the 2nd game is just impossible. especially then the speed ramps up. I never got more than 12 points… is there a way to advance to the next game?
