That was cool! The concept is fun, and the setting is interesting. There were also some neat precision platformer bits.
That said, with all due respect, I feel like the level would still be a good level of hard (and long) if the platforms merely regenerated after a time (or if there were checkpoints). Mandatory beginning restarts feel quite artificial, especially given that the level is already quite hard.
However, I will say: I appreciate that the part at the end of the level was NOT the hardest part! That's a good design choice.
The art has a distinct style, and the Conan-esque character design is quite charming! However, there's one problem I have with the graphics: a lot of the background tiles have a similar saturation and value compared to the main character. This isn't universal (the mossy stones in the 2nd layer have a good contrast), but it happens often enough to be somewhat straining to the eyes.
Good job including audio control! Unfortunately, it seems that the menu button hover sound always plays at max volume.
Good work!
Ooooh yes! Feedbacks! Love it!
First of all thank you very much for finish it we know it requires time and a lot of retry.
Like you said it was intentional that the last bit was easier. Glad you appreciate the design. Speaking of it: in 3 of the 5 screen/floor there are 2 "course", one simpler than another ;)
That said we feel it wasn't fair to the player to make him face a even bigger challenge at the end after all of that.
If you, who reached the top and found out that the level is not that long, still think that respawning platforms and checkpoints are needed we take that feedback in consideration for future improvements. We already have ideas for that.
Coming to the values: we had other colours, an entire other palette. It didn't convinced us so we decided to use NES palette instead. But this choice was made 2 days before deadline and we found ourselves rushing through the process. Usually we do the greyscales to see the values but this time...
Yeah you have a point, we definitely try to improve the colours to make The Hun pop up!
Thanks again for the precise feedbacks, we are very pleased that comes from you because we love your work ( we found you like 2 or 3 weeks ago and we liked to play your games: Make a friend, Logic Bulb adventures, Crap and the others).
I'm pleased to hear that you enjoy the rest of my work. Thank you!
I thought this was pretty fun, but a bit tough. Definitely had a to practice a bit to get good at it, but improved every time. Enjoyed the little bits of humor as well. Good job!
Reminds of that old games where no savepoint was available , and the sound of the jumping makes me happy
Simple and fun! I like the art style in reminded me of castle vanya
This is fun, well executed and the theme is respected. Well done ;)
great job friend, I love the reference to slay the spire
While I couldn't reach the end (the farthest I got so far was the part with the fast-moving platforms that go back and forth), I still liked the retro graphics, the music, and the player's movements.
I love the jumping sounds. I tried several times but never was able to reach the end. Really intense platforming with matching intense music. Great job on it.
Fun climbing game with unstable platforms :D
well made !
The sprinting animation is funny as heck :D
I love these retro games! You absolutely nailed the color pattern. And even tho its abit frustrating to start over when a platform has fallen, the game still feels responsive
Great job ^^
We thought about implementing checkpoints at some point but the game it's 40 second long, if you practice enough, so we abort the idea and make the carpet platform instead to make the player breath from one floor to another.
Thank you for try our game!
when the platform fall it doesn't respawn i get stuck
Yes, but the npc explain you how you can overcome the "problem" ;)
The voice of the character is funny. :)
It is hard to master, I need more practice to reach the top.
Thanks, it's me voice acting with Audacity filters for voice modification :D
Maybe i have a career as a voice actor that wait me in the future.
Thanks for playing our game.

Wow, the graphics are original, well done! can you please play my game to get feedback!
oh man I so want to reach to the top. I will definetly play this more. To the top! I want that magic axe.
We made it hard to master but it's doable, we can assure that!
Keep going and if you reach the axe feel free to post a screen in the game page comments!
Thanks for try our game!
I like it, nicely put together
Thank you very much!
Very great Castlevania art style. The fault tolerance rate of the platform is still too low
This game really nails the retro vibes! I absolutely love the art style. The animations are fantastic, and the sound design complements everything perfectly. Plus, the difficulty level is just right—not too easy, not too hard. I'm a big fan!
I really like this game with it's good theme and music and everything but there's a glitch on the falling platforms where sometimes you can't jump and ughh, It drives me insane. Other then that, it's very fun though!
Nice styling and art, the story is good too the old man talks a lot and fast so I missed the reset bit the first time. During the jump animation the Huns legs turn red I think its from when you skeletoned the animation will be easy to fix. You did a great job with the character. The "level" was chalenging and at times unfair this could use fine tuning and checkpoints I feel would really help (you may have had these and I didn't get far enough if so more checkpoints please).
The red calves are not a bug or error. We designed the character like that on purpose. The calves turn red to show how much power the Hun puts into his jumps, yeah it's a silly idea but make us laugh and we decided to make it real.
We thought about implementing checkpoints at some point but the game it's 40 second long, if you practice enough, so we abort the idea and make the carpet platform instead to make the player breath from one floor to another.
Thank you for playing our game and for the feedbacks!
Kind of reminds of Jump Knight and Castlevania.
Yeah, we were inspired by these games!
