This game is really fun. The soundeffects fit perfect. The audience mumbling in the main menu is such a nice touch. At first I was a bit confused where i can change the background, but other than that, the entry ist great. Good Job !

Really strong entry for me. It's a very clever game play idea (which I know this round isn't really about, but it's still impressive.) The animation on the main character is great. If I had a suggestion it would be to experiment with some other fonts that are a little less blocky, to see if you like them better. Good luck with the jam! I'd be amazed (and appalled) if this doesn't advance.

Love the pixel art and animations. They give the game a lot of character. Some of the art and menus could probably use more polish, but overall really great!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah that opening menu was thrown together within the last 15 minutes lol

What a great idea, that was fun. I can imagine this going farther with more and more things that need to be set up before the curtains raise.

Hey you got the sign in there!  This turned out really good.  The infinity running animation, out of breath animation, etc... just felt so fun.  Good job!

A great idea and pulled off really well. The animation of the character's feet dancing and facial expressions are great and l like how you have to hurry and pick the right props. The sounds certainly add to the spectacle but I didn't realise the background could be changed until reading others comments

Thank you! In hindsight it might have been better to add an object which highlighted objects that you could interact with so it was more obvious

I really like the techno fit, and the gameplay loop is fun once you get used to it

Fun! Some nice character to the clapping, and impressive having all sound and so forth in the entry (gives some charm, even if not a criteria specifically for this round). Took me a moment to realize how to change the background, some kind of “hey I’m interactable” when you walk by the pulley would be helpful. Also, at first I thought this was somehow going to be some riff off of Steven Universe and Gem fusions haha. Artwork was fairly simple, though still enough that I got the gist of the themes they went with, so kudos there.

Thank you! Come to think of it Steve universe would have been a really good interpretation of the theme lol

Interesting concept, and overall the art was pretty well done. The pixel art is different sizes though, so getting them the same resolution will help keep it fitting together nicely. Cool entry!

I think your game fits the theme super well, and it's a cool concept. I think the props, backgrounds, and costumes fit well together, and you can clearly tell what is what theme. I think this has a lot of potential to be expanded on in the future, in another GDKO round or whatever you want really. I did wish that each game went on for a bit longer though, maybe with more rounds. Great job, I really enjoyed this!! :)
