Cool game idea. I love the freeze to heal mechanic with high risk to reward. I would love to see this game built on in the futer.

also could someone please try my game, it only had 6 reviews

Developer

Sorry, but what do you mean by freeze to heal mechanic?

Submitted

the mechanic where you click the button and it freezes the player to heal them

Developer

i mean it's not really a mechanic it's a basic turn based combat system

I really like the Idea, huge fan of mechanics with high reward/risk so the freeze for heal was fun. Would absolutly love see this getting continued into a full game

And I suggest you make a Web build because a lot of person don't bother trying download file only.

The mechanics, shooting and healing worked pretty well together. Deciding when to freeze and for how long in order to heal is a novel idea. I think the game has a lot of potential. I think it could use a bit of polish as well to make things run smoother to better demonstrate the mechanics you implemented. But it's a good start.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback

After retrying the game it decided to work, no clue what has changed since the latest update is from before trying to play it, oh well. It was rather bare bones and the enemies kept getting stuck as their pathfinding is probably just move towards the player. Also the player could go into negative integers and it wasn't some one off as it happened every time. The trees also were so large they blocked the enemies and the player's movement.

Developer

Sorry about that bug, I forgot about because I thought loosing was impossible, but I'll fix it tho

I like the secondary mechanic. The inability to move is a huge risk but it can pay off if you get enough healing. Could be fun to expand :)

Developer

The mechanics are actually first of Turn based combat, so fighting the enemy, and the second one is that after you defeat an enemy, you get their ability. But thanks for your feedback.

pretty cool concept attack as the core and heals you but freezes you as the "payment" to get your self healed
nice work man!

This is a great prototype. I can't seem to get the healing/freezing (assuming this is the 2nd mechanic) otherwise, fun to play!

i think when you press the button it freezes your character and slowly heals you
i was also confused at first but after seeing the health bar it goes up

The game is borked, may or may not be your fault as it tries to access some raytracing.cpp function that doesn't exist.

If you download the console version, it seems to work fine.
