I had fun playing. My biggest complaint is that there is no penalty for entering the incorrect direction, which makes spamming keys effective
I got the promotion 🥳🥳I ended up on 105 boxes with the best day being 19! I really enjoyed the 'aha' moment when i realised that the boxes you learn always have the same pattern..... though i sucked at remembering them.
I thought this was an interesting premise and it had a pretty good difficulty/introduction ramp so that i always just wanted to do a bit more to see what i could get.
I liked the art, i thought it gave the game a fun and surreal sort of feeling that went well with the writing. It was made even better by lots of little bits of polish like the wiggle of the arrows and the way the boxes shrunk and flew out the other side of the machine. I also really enjoyed steadily seeing more people in the background just bopping along and there expressions were making me laugh.
The music was good though it got a little repetative, but i kinda think that works with the premise of the game.
Id definitly be interested to see what you would implement if you took this further, though id be a bit worried cause i already ended up playing it more than i planned to 😅if you carried on that level of gradual mechanic introduction i think you could get me hooked!
Great job, well done!
Thanks for playing! I feel very seen that my attention to detail has payed off for at least one person lol. Looking forward to seeing you in round 2!
Great little game! Addictive and fun. Well done!
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed
A very good game! It is very easy to understand and the "in-game tutorial" is great. It was really easy to follow and things made sense.
Well done! Cool mechanics that fit well together! :D
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
Skilled at developing and presenting mechanisms
Thanks!
I loved this game. Really fun, original, and clever. Awesome tutorial and great skill ramping - it started easy and then got more challenging. Hope you get to work on this more after the jam.
Thanks for the compliment! I'm glad you liked it, and yes. There are more updates to come when I have time.
This game was really fun, I love how well the progression felt being eased into everything before the chaos. Im not sure if i just didnt read something but im not sure what pressing the button does. despite that this game is amazing for the time given to make it, and its always good to see a fellow godot game developer. Keep up the good work
I suggest to stop people from spamming WASD and shift, you should make a penalty whenever they hit the wrong key
A good idea! I've heard a lot of feedback about this mechanic, so this will definitely me seen in an update! I'm glad you enjoyed it :D
pretty enjoyable game!
5 stars across the board. This game is too addicting. It's like an insane nightmare factory Bop-It from Hell. The music loop is phenomenal as well. I couldn't stop bobbing my head.
On a more serious note, the pace with which you introduced the various mechanics was masterful. I felt eased into the madness, and before I knew it, everything had crescendoed into a chaotic, fun mess. Amazing!
Thanks so much for the thoughtful response. Chaotic fun mess was the goal, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Nice humor and progression. good job!
Thanks!
You have a gift for storytelling through gameplay, otherwise I wouldn't have patience to play until the end. Pretty much the most successful take on the theme that I've seen so far, I don't even know why it just feels that way. One issue is, I'm pretty sure I was able to use all the colors before learning them, which I shouldn't be able to if I understood the game's planned constraints. Still, that didn't hinder the awe of it.
Thanks for the thoughtful and heartfelt response! I'm planning even more for the story next round depending on the prompt, so I'm really glad that it resonated. I'll take a second look at the color constraints, but I think it could feel that way since the management system only checks that the shirt color matches the box color, but that's a good note that I'll take another look at.
A strong sense of progression. Looking forward to become a boss one day!
Please don't take my job... lol
Fun game! Though there could've been a bit more challenge near the end, as you can just hold shift and spam WASD and the arrow keys and it works out. Maybe having each day have a set goal could remedy that. Otherwise it was a fun fast-paced game!
I like that suggestion! I've seen this type of recommendation from many others, so thanks for the feedback!
the game was fun.
i like how it turns into a throwing simulator from a packaging simulator
Lol nothing like a genre merger to spice things up. Thanks for playing!
It’s fun concept. I enjoyed the game
I'm glad! Thanks for playing
I thought it was pretty fun, the music is scratching my brain in a way I didn't know I liked. Only thing is I think maybe adding a penalty for pressing the wrong key would be nice cause I ended up just button mashing and got a high score of 89. So some way to punish that could be fun. All around though I think it's a solid game.
Yeah, I've had that note from a lot of people. That is a much needed update for round 2. Thanks for the feedback!
The game starts off a little slow, but once it gets going, the fun really picks up. If you continue to develop it, a leaderboard would be a perfect addition. I can see people getting really competitive with this one. If you're not already familiar with it, you should check out silentwolf.com—they make adding leaderboards to Godot easy.
Thanks so much for the recommendation. I am not currently familiar, but I will definitely check it out!
This was fun, I love pushing arrow keys in sequence so this was right up my alley. I really enjoyed it once I had all the upgrades and could hold shift to go through the patterns really quick, I was so bad at the teal one every time. Great job on this, I got 140 boxes with a high score of 27.
I think that makes you WR right now lol. Teal is tricky haha had to throw a curveball.
i smashed all my WASD keys and got 8 boxes done im proud of myself
loved it nice story telling with the background characters
nice work man!
Thanks! Excited to see what you did!
Really cool game ! Sense of progression and storytelling works really well ! Great job !
Thanks for the positive feedback!
