How does your game fit the theme?
My approach was to try to take away things that are used to be in control of the player: the capability to jump, the aim, and also added RNG so it feels a little more "chaotic". The player can only run and shoot their hook but they take the risk and can die trying.

Good work, though it's a bit random. I think the cursor should stay on-screen at all times

I really love the idea but I feel like it could be adjusted so it's a bit more fair for the player

Good concept, but I felt like I had to wait way too long for the cursor to show up in a good area.

Interesting concept. The intense randomness of the grapple direction kind of made progression feel nearly impossible, though it did feel good when it got to the perfect spot and was able to control fall to the correct spot. Good job!

Had to read through the comments to make sure I wasn't the only one who felt this way about the randomness and quickness of the aiming to jump; was worried I was being too mean. Aside from that, I do think this is a unique concept and I did really enjoy your presentation. One of the prettiest pixel art games I've seen so far. Good job!

You managed the rapid jumping to feel fun, I wish I could control the aiming at least a bit and have levels where you shall jump at high speed :)
Nice one.

A great game! A bit too random aim, had to wait a lot until target spawns in the right direction. Nonetheless, a great design and implementation!

nice concept, but the jump made with the sight can become really frustrating really fast. For example, I had to wait 1 minuti because every time the sight was on the opposite direction. Good effort and good job.

Out of control and (wonderfully) frustrating.
I hate (love) it.

Submitted(+1)

nice concept imo, but sometimes the was a bit to frustrating when the marker moved out of sight for example

Submitted(+1)

I feel it was more "frustration" than "out of control"...

But the game is well polished and I liked the graphics.

Fun game! Like the concept and how easy it was to get the mechanic. Wish there were more levels but i liked it a lot

fun idea, but  would be cool if the cursor chose a position that was on the screen more than half the time

Fun idea, but ... tooooooo little control? Might have been the idea, but frustrating if you can't make a jump because the RNG just doesn't give you what you need

Interesting mechanic and great art and sound!

Really like the art and the soundtrack. But I lost 3 times in a row when I was really close to the end of the level just because the gun was aiming in the wrong direction. But I guess that's the point of the game.

Submitted(+1)

Kind of wish my gun points to where I aimed

Clever, byst mostly becomes an exercise in patience.

Interesting take on the theme. Maybe for future updates, have the player stop at the position of the cursor and allow some slow-motion/air-time to make a second jump, say over a pit of spikes for difficulty :D
