Neat little toy! Love watching the fire spread. Took me a second to figure out how to get it that way though, I kept lighting things on fire that didn't spread at all.

How does your game fit the theme?
It's very easy for any fire you set to blaze out of control.

Nice little simulation - would be interesting to see fleshed out into more of a game experience with objectives
You could definitely make a game out of this by using resource management and strategy.
what rules for spreading fire are you using in cellular automata
They are, for each cell, every timestep:
- Dissipate Heat (average the heat of surrounding cells and the air "above" the cell)
- Spread Fire (based on if surrounding cells are burning)
- Spark or Smother Fire (based on heat and moisture)
- Light Fire (if player is clicking this cell)
- Spray Water (if player is clicking this or neighboring cell)
- Collect Rainwater (if raining)
- Dry Excess Moisture (natural water evaporation)
- Dry Air (vaporizing water in high heat)
- Burn Fuel (if burning, consume fuel and add heat)
I liked the attention to detail, if you try to make this into a full game/simulation it'd be interesting to see the process of the trees growing back or a function to be able to add seeds. Overall, this is extremely well done.
As a pyromaniac, this was fun! Visuals were nice and tidy. Would be nice to see some more game elements, like trying to create the biggest fire without destroying homes, or protect residential areas with the least resources something like that.
Oh this is the second fire simulator I played in the Jam, and my main critique with the other one was that it had no panning, you got that right! Nice job!! Congrats on your game!
Great work! You don't see many simulations as far as game jams go. Could be turned into a real game if fires started randomly
Super interesting to play around with. I thought I might be able to survive by just putting heaps of water on the grass but I was mistaken... It'd be neat to make this a puzzle game about defending different environments.
This was a cool little game to play around with for a bit and see everything spiral out of control. Really well done, and especially impressive to do something like this during a game jam!
This was neat to mess around with for awhile, and certainly one of the most unique submissions I've seen!
OH NO I BURNED DOWN THE FOREST AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
(Cool and Unique btw!)
