This is a really nice looking game, and it has a great concept. Definitely would like to see a full release of it in the future! Great work
Id also appreciate feedback and any last minute plays/rates on my game! https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/695512
Cool Idea, but its so hard to grap a platform, slow down the game or make them bigger. Its more try and error. But nice work ;)
Cool idea! I like what you got here. The rotation of the platforms feels super unnatural to me x.x I'd try to rotate it one way and it'd go the complete opposite.
yo
this is a really good concept for a game, i could see a full release
I want a full version, PLEASE
This is good. Well presented and I liked that it didn't matter how many times you died, even just sorting out parts of the puzzle as you went to help you later was a great touch. Good job!
haha I kept in it but bread wanted them to reset, thank you for giving me this victory!
Looks great and fun concept! We managed to escape the map on the first level with the second rotating platform.
The concept of the spinning platforms you have to use to plan out your route is great, very original! It was very challenging for me, especially on level 3/4 where I had to sort of trap the enemies too haha. But yeah, good fun! With a bit of polish and tighter spinning controls, I'd love to play this post-jam :)
I love the concept, also I loved that I had to actually kill the enemies by making them fall into spikes. The controls could be little bit more snappy and polished, other than that good job.
Great idea for the theme! I feel like the camera moving from side to side with the slime was a bit weird. It several times made me rotate the platforms in the wrong direction. I don't know if that was what you were going for with it, but I feel it detracts from the game play a bit.
Cool idea, sort of hard to actually move platforms. I included it in my GMTK Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Nice concept, great execution.
The only thing I would change is the icon above the platform, It implies that you should interact with the platform in a circular motion and not left and right motion like you programed.
On that note I would probably change the interaction with the platforms to be in a circular motion because I find it more intuitive but I might be wrong.
In any case, the game is great and I had a lot of fun playing it, thank you!
To expand on that first point, if the icon changed to a pair of downward curving left/right arrows situated above, it would make for a slightly less ambiguous GUI.
Wow, a lot of fun! Sometimes the slime gets stuck though.
Nice concept, I love the art, the game-play idea is great too.
Great concept!
I reached level 3 and got stuck on the last 2 platforms. :(
I would suggest one main thing: Mouse control might not be the best idea for handling rotation. It doesn't ever get to feel natural. I think a 2 button control scheme (left click for rotating left and right for the opposite for example) would make the user experience so much better.
In any case, I was greatly surprised by the concept and I really liked it!
Nice concept, good lighting and graphics overall. However, I felt like clicking on the objects was a bit difficult sometimes.
I agree I think I needed to playtest more to gauge it better. Oh well, next time!
I also just realized how ironic it is that the theme is "Out of Control" lmao
