How does your game fit the theme?
You‘re a virus destroying the target computer system. While the system becomes more unstable with your progress, all kind of bugs appear like the camera moving on itself or the sound module moving over the map. Some changes can be to your benefit, others can get you in trouble. Try to deal with it.

Super cool Game. The movement was really fun and the different effects were really fun to play with. I really enjoyed your aesthetic as well, simple but really nice to look it. Good job!

I love the game, before I noticed the bugs it was hard to believe something so polished was made in 48 hours!

Developer(+1)

Thank you, wholesome comment! What kind of bugs did you stumble upon? I‘d like to fix them after the jam is over :)

Well, here I go ...

Pressing "No" on the continue manual hacking prompt causes a weird effect. (screenshot below)

The "No" button on the "Do you want to restart" prompt has no function.

When the box around a button fades in it is grey for a moment.

Turrets often spawn two enemies at the same time.

Turrets can be pushed my the player.

When a turret spawns from "GLITCH" pop-up it can become docile, it will not shoot or take damage. This seems more common when the player is near the turret and when the screen is packed with enemies.

I think that "GLITCH" pop-ups can be seen on the minimap, not sure as it is scaled down small.

When the camera is disconnected from the player location shot bullets don't do though the mouse location. I think that this is caused by the screen distortion effect causing the player no show up at there true location. This effect increases the farther the player is from the screen's center.

Inconsistent formatting and quotes in the code from the intro scene (image below)

if (pw == db[i].string) { Console.println("Success") }

vs

 if (pw == db[i].string){ Console.println("Success)}

Wow that‘s a detailed description. I can‘t thank you enough for taking the time to summarize what you have found. Thank you SO SO much! I‘ll get to fix it by tomorrow. But I don‘t know if I‘m allowed to patch it during the voting so I‘ll wait until it‘s ended. In the meantime I added touch controls and ported it to android today 😄

The use of glow and sudo 3D-ish effect give the game a really nice feel. The screenshake and SFX make the general controls feel super responsive. Having the games rules change randomly and then fixing them is super fun to deal with, and the general idea is really entertaining!

I played a lot of games with lack of juice and I can point your as a good juice exemple! Great design and presentation!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you that‘s really flattering! I indeed think of game juice as a simple yet import mechanism to make games more fun instantly. So cool that you mentioned that <3

Submitted(+1)

Such a cool game. The visuals are amazing and the concept very fun! Perfect fit for the Jam. Keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

That was nice! Game Juice is mhm

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

tbh this is the best entry I've seen till now, you started with an easy concept and improved it a lot, the art style really fits the game very will, the game juice is amazing, the music is really good, nearly the perfect game for a jam 😉

High score : 2345 Can anyone beat mine? 😄

Developer(+2)

Wow thank you so much. This comment made us smile :D

Let's see what your Dino has to offer, and goob job on that highscore!

I got 5048, and only stopped because I was starting to get bored. It seems if you keep enough distance this game is nearly endless

Developer(+1)

5048? Wow, my personal record is 2880 points and I did the programming:D congrats on that. You‘re Right, I thought about having some faster enemies with higher attention range to prevent camping.

Also I wanted the camera module to fly Directly into enemy hordes. Unfortunately there wasn‘t enough time left. But I‘m glad you liked it enough to spend that much time on ist!

I had fun !! Cool game dude <3 + Can u Try my game ?

Developer(+1)

Cool idea, really well polished!

Submitted(+1)

1495 score :D That was a lovely and polished experience, loved the sound design, was sad when the sound module 'broke' xD Really good job! This needs more ratings!

(+1)

I love the art style and music. Great game!

Submitted(+1)

Fantastic! Probably the most polished game from this jam I've hit so far.

Really neat idea, the glitches and random breakages kinda remind me of Eternal Darkness's sanity effects and how they really start screwing with you eventually, kinda like what this game does as more and more things start to go south as you go around shooting everything that moves

Submitted(+1)

Very good idea! Yes you're right, my game is the counter part ahahah. I really love the art direction. Good job, keep doing games!
