How does your game fit the theme?
The player and the enemies take turn in shooting each other, there is a maximum wait time before the next switch of weapons but it is out of control as there is a chance for it to switch at any time.

Nice game! I liked the art style and music! It was a little frustrating at times when you stopped being able to shoot, but I suppose that's the point!
It was really out of control !
Some fps problems, but otherwise the game was really nice to play !
I really enjoyed your game! Usually taking the ability to fight away from the character is risky but you really made it work well. It's a nice switch between having power and frantically trying to run and dodge incoming attacks.
If you wanted to continue building on it, I suggest adding more weapons, maybe a rare weapon you only get every 10 weapon cycles that does way more damage.
Overall, fun game! Good luck on your future projects!
Quick, simple, fast-paced, smooth controls. I really enjoyed it.
really nice mechanic. the game unfortunatelyran at a terrible fps for me... do you know why? maybe provide a download link.
edit: ok i fixed the fps and this thing is smoooth.
Thanks for playing! There is already a download link on the page if you want :)
Nice job!I really enjoyed the mechanics and "Out of Control" experience! Well done. :D
Definitely well made! I didn't really feel that the bar was really that much 'out of control', but the act of losing control itself was well executed.
Also, for a game that has such a minimal aesthetic, it was a bit weird to find out that the red/brown areas of the floor didn't do anything special. I actually avoided them on my first play through because I thought they were dangerous!

Thx for playing! Actually, the red/brown areas are the spawn areas for the enemy.
Ahhh that makes more sense now. Neat!
Very smooth, felt great to zip around and kite enemies. I wish it felt more out of control as it was predicable taking turns who could shoot, at least on the first level i was playing on it seemed to just be blue, red, blue, red, maybe I got lucky! The brush font felt out of place when used next to geometric game shapes. I would consider a simple sans serif font, bold for sure and maybe layered! Use the little triangle guy in the logo itself as well in the letter W. Great game jam game for sure!
Thanks! I'll reconsider the choice of font after the game jam if i continue to work on the game.
Nice game, feels nice and is fun to play. Very easy to pick it up. I think it has lots of potential.
I like the mechanic that you go from hunter to hunted, depending on the game state. It reminds me of pacman but that you dont change roles over upgrades but over time. Nice idea, game juice is on point!
Thanks!
Cool game! I liked how some of the AI were simple, but some were smart. I think it added a cool dichotomy to the gameplay strategies. I think 50 enemies per stage might be a little too many. I would also appreciate a mode to auto-fire when left click is held down. Really nice work!
Great game, worth playing. AI too simple. no other problems.
epic
Well executed concept. I love the feel and the feedback that the game gives you. What you're supposed to do is super apparent after only about 10 seconds, and it was a fun experience overall. Only issue I found is that the ai is really easy to bait, so most of the time I just camped behind a wall when I couldn't shoot.
Really happy that you enjoyed it! The second room has some "more complex" ai but improvements to it wouldn't hurt the game.
Really nice game :)
Nice and simple and well-executed. Strong, clean visuals and intuitive controls. My only critique is that it's a bit too easy.
My goal was to make it simple for it to be very accessible but increasing the difficult is something to consider afterwards. Thanks for playing anyways!
This was a pretty neat little game! I love the idea of switching semi-randomly between being an attacker and being a defender. The effect to make the switch is a little jarring and I found myself getting a bit disoriented by the screen wobbling, but the gameplay overall was fun for a quick weekend project, and the music choice was pretty fitting!
Thanks! The switch effect does attract a lot of attention.
I like the randomized switch time causing you to switch from firing to dodging on a whim. While I liked the effect you used for the switch it would get a little bit distracting if it rapidly switched but it wasn't a huge deal. A few things I would've like are to be able to hold down my mouse to shoot, and for the rooms to be a bit shorter. I wouldn't say the room length is the real issue though, it's more that I would like to be introduced to the other enemy varieties sooner rather than later.
The switch effect can be distracting but it also marks an important event, so I didn't really think about the distraction. For the auto shoot, I did consider it but I was scared that the player would have the tendency to just press it all the time and not really acknowledging the switch, giving it a boring kind of gameplay. It's one thing to hold down the mouse but another thing when the switch happens and you are in the moment that you just forgot to shoot, giving a frantic and fast gameplay. At least that's what i think :)
The rooms would benefit a lot from adjustments and a true progression but time was pretty limited for me haha
Really well done! I love some of the effects you used.
Thx! Effects really helps add some satisfaction in games.
