I love seeing original out of the box mechanics like this. So relaxing yet challenging, great execution all around!

Developer

Thanks Sam, loved your game as well!

I really like this game.  The concept is great, and very well executed.

I think the aesthetic was super good. Simple, and very effective.

I considered myself pretty alright at puzzles, and I got stuck at several places for a long time.

Great game!

Appreciate it Aeon, thanks for playing!

Wow, this feels like a perfect puzzle game I'd find on my phone. Really great work here

Developer

thanks gamma,  you're right, it would work pretty good on a phone format

the game is very simple but fun i like the style. great job

Developer

thanks kelsen, I played your game too, you did a great job yourself!

Really cool game! It's simple, yet doesn't hold your hand. It's minimalist, but still pretty. It's quick, but fun. A good game that I hope to see featured in the 20 best games for sure!

I adore this game! I played it all the way through and it just felt so satisfying to complete. I love the open world feel and collecting the upgrades made the exploring so much more fun. Highly rated!

Developer

Thanks yogurt, glad you liked it!

Quite difficult puzzles for me. I think if the level was designed in such a way that you can get more and more number of controls to move the bird while I eat then it would be interesting. In the stage I was at I just restarted to get 6/6 controls but instead restarting should've made me begin the level with 1/1 control so that I can plan my moves according and chose the right direction and every time I get my food, I get more controls to move from that position then that would be a even more difficult for me to play xD Nice job though!

Thanks for taking the time Wrath, appreciate it!

A cool concept being presented as a challenging puzzle with nice visual and fitting music. Great job for a 48h jam :D

Thanks mochimochi!

A fun little puzzle game with quite an open world that made it interesting. The puzzles were challenging but I don't think too difficult. My main criticism would be the art. Despite the fact I usually like minimalist approaches to game jams, I just didn't feel like a bird soaring through the sky at all while playing. I think that just a simple bird sprite with a flying animation would have made a huge difference. Despite the fact that sprites and animation do take time, especially for a solo developer, it is usually worth it and I would much rather have a few of these levels with nice visuals than lots where all the sprites are squares. There are probably some good assets online you could use so it wouldn't take up too much time anyway. Despite this, overall the game was challenging but satisfying to play, good job!

Developer

Thanks blackhammer, yeah I am really dissapointed I had no more time left to polish up the art, it was in my plans, but I just didn't get to it in time. Especially the level design took so much time. But I am glad that you liked the level and the idea. Next time I will do my best to get real art in there.

what a clever game , really make you think!
very big brain time
awesome job!

Thanks Gore, I spent quiet some time on the idea and level. Glad you enjoyed!

Super hard, but super fun. Ice physics are a great way to send someone out of control.

The squares are hardly visible and for that planning your moves is really hard... But i really liked the concept of the game and the game was actually really fun... 😗

thanks for playing, yeah I think I messed up not accounting for zooming out, the tiles really get too small in that case. But thanks for playing the game, I am glad you still enjoyed it, appreciate it!

It's a really difficult puzzle game. But I like it. It's addicting.

Keep up the good work!

Developer

Thanks Skipper, will try!

This is a fun game, took me quite a few minutes to get the 4th control and a fullscreen option would be nice, the game's window is bigger than my resolution.

Developer

Thanks for playing bullet, sorry about the screen resolution, should have thought that out more.

I really enjoyed this game! I think I got to 56 control at the win screen, not sure if there was more I missed? I wish there were more puzzles, maybe some more mechanics later on. Please continue to work on it after the jam is over. The game made me feel nostalgic for some reason, in a good way.

Had some small issues with the freezing; it was sometimes frustrating because there isn't really a solid indicator of which tile you'll freeze on. Maybe draw a light grid around the player to indicate which square the freeze will land on.

Developer

Hey thanks cricket! I am not sure if I will continue, the code is really spaghetti because of the 48 hours haha. I have heard the freezing issue from other feedback as well, and I agree with it. But thank you a lot for playing and even finishing the game, appreciate it!

This game mixes up sliding ice puzzle mechanics in some pretty interesting ways, all inside an expansive but minimalist world. Worth a play if you like chill games with a touch of twitch gameplay.

Developer

Thanks for checking out irreverent!

I really like the mechanic of only being able to move a certain amount of times. The simplistic art style and music are really relaxing

This is such a nice and tranquil game! I loved the concept, and the stop mechanic working like a key that opens new areas has me wishing for a metroidvania in this style! Though I have to say, the stopping can be tricky, which requires a little bit more dexterity, but I think you could shift the focus to make this game even more of a puzzler!

Amazing job! ✨
