I scored one point but I still haven't got a clue how :/
The idea's great but the gameplay is confusing and the presentation a bit sketchy. Would like to see it evolve and become something more solid :)
I love the idea ! A bit difficult to play in it scurrent state though :(
cool idea but too confusing
A tutorial might have been really helpful here.
Pretty original, I don't fully undestood the potions effect, tried different combinantions but got different results. Idk if that's part of the out of control mechanic. Nicely done, a great idea and execution! :D
Cool idea. A bit confusing to play though.
Pretty fun game, had to play it a couple times to figure out exactly what I was doing vs when the game was altering the character. Might be helpful to have a clearer differentiation between the effect of the potion and the random switching. Overall, a fun idea, definitely made me want to get better at it!
Was hard to gauge what each potion did, but is a neat idea.
Good idea and use of the theme. I just think that could be some feedback in what which potion does, because the "client" is aways changing, so I didn't know exactly what I was doing and what was changing because of the randomly changes of its body.
I like the idea but I think it lacked in execution. Some feedback when using potions would be nice.
Short and sweet! I think similar to other people playing, there was a bit of feeling of not knowing what was happening. Trying the potions out was neat, as that was a feeling of experimentation, but I didn't understand that the blue box meant I was under water? (I think). I think finding and understanding that difference would make this a really fun experience. I want to be able to experiment, but I want to better feedback about what my experiments are doing, and what I'm trying to achieve. Great submission!
I think the blue box meant they were encased in ice since you need the fire potion to get rid of it.
ahhh, that would make sense. I thought it was a mouse selection artifact :(
Definitely some potential here!
I really did feel out of control in knowing what potions to use, so the theme was definitely there for me. Good job!
Interesting idea, would be nice to have a recipe list as you discover new potions
Interesting concept
Score 12! Enjoyable once I got the hang of it :p
I think a small visual aid indicating what effect happened on the villager would have gone a long way. So when they shrink, the text "Shrink!" would appear, when they catch fire "Burn!" and so on. I think that would have made it clearer what each potion does, and what random effects happened without player action
Good concept but just a little bit too random, hard to work out what, if anything, the potions were doing.
I like the concept but seeing the effects of the potions is a bit difficult so it's hard to know what to do.
Very cool concept. I couldn't really understand how the game worked, though - it seemed like the villagers would keep changing even when I wasn't doing anything, so it was hard to determine the effects of the potions.
I didn't really understand what to do, I know that time is limited, but I would've liked to see a tutorial or something so I could enjoy the game. Here's my game https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/697413 feel free to let me know if you liked :)
