How does your game fit the theme?
The split parts of the main character are jointly manipulated by the player, and whether the player is segmented or not affects how vulnerable you are and what you can accomplish in a level. The levels themselves are also connected in that you can only advance by triggering hotspots that are connected to the advancement door.

This is actually a very brilliant game idea. The artwork of this game is so good! The bugs in the game break the game experience a little bit, but I can tell this game has potential. Can't wait to see a post-jam version of this game!
Thanks so much! Definitely needs more polish (particularly with collision detection) and a greater variety of enemies/switch types/level layouts, but I'm hoping to expand it further. Really appreciate the encouragement, means a lot :)
Nice idea! The graphics looked very good and even with the bug, I still had a great time playing it.
Thanks so much for the support! Really appreciate the time and feedback :)
Lovely art and great idea! Congrats for your submission!
Thanks so much for taking the time to play and comment. Much appreciated!
this is a really great concept
great job with the execution too!!!
Thanks so much! Hoping to do more refinement on the collision detection, as well as add more enemy/switch types and level variation, but I really appreciate the support. Means a lot :)
Nice art and such a great gameplay idea.
Really appreciate it! Thanks so much for taking the time to play and comment :)
Ooooh, cool art! I liked the style you chose, is the character a lot simpler than the background so it pops out?
Yup, thought the contrast would help with the readability, though I did keep the overall color palate limited to try and make the character(s) still feel like a part of the world. Plus, I found the vector-based style a little easier to animate. Thanks so much for the feedback!
In a span of just 2 days, this game seems pretty good, considering that the music and art is created too.
Great Concept. Well done!
Much appreciated! Definitely didn't get everything in I was hoping for, but I'm excited to try and refine the collision detection, as well as expand the concept further with more enemy/switch types and level variations. Thanks again for taking the time to play/comment, means a lot :)
Sure, I would like to suggest that you should work a little bit more on the UI design, although everything seems nearly perfect in the game but every element is kind of mixing with each other. All the best!
Loved the idea, and the arty so much! Hope you would come back, and make some polish!
Thanks so much for taking the time to play/comment! Definitely didn't get as much variation/polish in as I was hoping for, but will try to expand the concept further post-jam. Appreciate the encouragement, means a lot :)
Nice game, the mechanic is neat and you could do a lot with it. The art is great too!
Thanks so much for taking the time to play and comment! Really appreciate the support :)
Really nice idea and mechanics, and I liked the art style too! Keep up the great works for more awesome levels!
Really appreciate the encouragement :) Excited to try and expand the concept further. Thanks for playing/commenting!
Really neat concept! I was surprised, in a really good way, when the character first burst apart and I realized what I needed to do. I feel the art was really nice here and set the mood perfectly :)
I did run into a lot of collision issues and did feel the controls could use a little more sanding down, however these are small problems that could be fixed in a post-jam update to flesh the game out a bit more!
I really hope you keep going with this one, solid entry :)
Thanks so much for the support! Collision detection and controls are definitely rough, so hoping I can polish those up as I explore the concept further and add more level variations. Really appreciate the time and feedback :)
A neat & fun concept, the control need a bit of fine-tuning, sometimes I get stuck and wont continue moving in one way, other than the bug you mentioned.
The character and the art style are great, you should continue development after the jam, you already have a great foundation here, nice job! :)
Really appreciate the time and feedback :) Agreed that the collision detection definitely needs work, but hoping to refine things further post-jam. Thanks so much!
Really cool game congrats on creating this cool piece for the jam. Is not an easy task at all so be proud, I found the bug you mentioned on the browser version, no biggie. Love the art style and the cute flame characters are quite charming.
I also noticed the characters seem to get stuck next to the edges of the rocks and platforms making it a bit harder to time the jump.
Other than that great job !!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to play and comment. Much appreciated!
Cool game! I really liked the art style and the way the flames split and combined. Really nice game Congrats!
Thanks! Really appreciate it :)
Lovely art! Great work
Thanks so much!
