The art and music are superb! I didn't understand why the enemies where stuck at the bottom of the screen before the end (when they all came back -really good idea by the way-)
I didn't feel like I was linked to the spaceship, was I? I didn't noticed any countdown for staying long out fo the white area 🧐
I replay your game a few time and really enjoyed it! 😁
Hey, thank you so much!
So, you're attached to the ship in a symbolic way: if you get out of that energy field, you will die.
Glad you enjoined it! :D
great art and good story.
Nice game.
Thanks! :D
wow. First of all i loved the small story at the beginning of the game and Game's soundtrack and art are also on fire. I enjoyed it so much.Great job!
Hey, thank you so much!
Cool story and I really like the cutscenes, not sure if there's anything you can do against the flies that get past you and stay by your ship, maybe a power up to shoot backwards or a special attack would be cool, good job overall!
Hey, thanks!!
It was intended to be impossible to beat that stage. We just wanted to build some momentum until the boss fight.
The aesthetic is great. I also love how the increasingly strong knockback to shooting gives it a nice risk and reward dynamic when choosing when to collect a power up. There are few things that I wish were a little more clear, such as what the powerups do and what lives actually means. Good job.
Hey, thanks for your comments!
There're a couple of things that sadly were left out of scope and would definitely help with the unclear things that you mention, we'll see if we add some of them for a post jam version.
Nice game! Good choice of music and art for the story/concept you're doing. Keep it up!
Hey, thanks! :D
fun game, and i really love the art/sound.
tbh though i set there with a weapon so strong it was filling half the screen for about 20 minutes wondering where the hell the boss fight was, before i finally found the ending by giving up and letting the bugs past me lmao.
Hahaha, at some point we thought that was a case we should consider and after some reasonable time make a few bugs appearing from behind the ship (or something like that) but we ran out of time.
Thanks for playing it!
It looks beautiful, with great music, but it felt very hectic, and I'm not sure how I won. :-)
Yeah, managing the pace of this game was really hard. We tried to make a small tutorial, then an impossible to beat stage and finally a not really hard boss, but balancing out the length of each one was kind impossible at the end and we ran out of time haha.
Thanks for your comments :)
The artwork of this game is so well-polished and the music is just perfect! I really like that there is a little plot in this game and those cutscenes look so good. The game design is also clever and brilliant, which encourages players to take risks in the game. Overall, this is really a fantastic work for 48 hours!
Hey, thank you so much! We're thrilled by the comments about the game design (mainly because we were afraid that we screwed up either with the design or the difficulty), so I guess the lesson is take risks and have fun haha.
This was a nice game, It looked really great and its always nice to see a story in jam games!
Thanks! :D
I love games with alternative screen formats! Putting the vertical scene greatly favors the concept you have had. Plus, it's also super artistically attractive and challenging. Very well!
Yeah, when we decided to go with this top down format, we agreed to use this aspect ratio and was a great idea! Sadly, we have a few bugs (like trying to use full screen haha) but probably we'll try to fix them for a post jam version.
Thanks for your comments! :D
Amazing game! I loved the small cutscenes, the sound was great and the gameplay was very good too. Nice work :)
Thanks!!! :D
I love the plot and the overall presentation, you are very talented.
As for gameplay, i think it is very interesting to encourage the player to make risky moves to make himself stronger. This results in a powerful feeling of accomplishment.
Really good submission. I liked playing your game. Good work.
Oh, thank you so much!
We were really anxious about the outcome of the game design decisions we made (specifically with such few time for play testing) but most of the comments are positive so we're really proud about it.
Thanks again :D
Short but sweet - I liked the two-phased nature of it.
I thought the risk/reward kill-now or power-up and kill later was well balanced (even if I died the first time because I didn’t see it coming!).
It was really well presented; and it’d be cool to see you build on it :)
Oh, many thanks!
We probably gonna do just a post jam version with a few fixes, but who knows :)
Very great style! It was fun! Congrats!
Thanks!
I love the art!
Character felt a little too slow but that created interesting new decision: "Should I kill them or get an upgrade and kill them in the final phase". The little tutorial at the beginning was really great idea. Overall pretty fun!
Thanks!!
I think balancing one of these game jams is really hard as hell, but now I think we actually did a pretty good job with it, so thanks again :D
Hey! You have good art and idea, i like it! Btw i had some problems with camera
Hey, thanks! Which problems with the camera did you have? I noticed a few (a lot, actually) problems when going to full screen, but not major issues with the camera 🤔
Rather, these are problems with the screen size and its vertical orientation for mobile platforms. That how game looks for me at my laptop :D
Oh yeah, that's the same problem you have if you go full screen haha. Thanks for the screenshot! I'll try to fix it for a post jam version.
You're welcome!
This game looks fantastic! Even though this game was a little too tricky for me, I loved the sound design and the tutorial at the start made it easy to understand from the get-go. Great work ^^
Hey, thanks! Glad you liked it :D
Though the game is a little too difficult for me, it is wonderful. I love that little "tutorial" at the beginning, very well-designed.
Oh, many thanks! :D
Felt good to play, but was a bit hard/slow to move around. But I believe that is because I am not used to these types of games.
The art was beautiful, and I especially liked the introduction. Nice work.
Glad you liked it, thanks!
