How does your game fit the theme?
We interpreted the theme of Joined Together as independent objects that, when connected, take a different meaning and interpretation. In Starsnap, you take photos to isolate shooting stars, which then you connect to create constellations for points. With the randomizing of stars, objects around, and different names, no constellation is ever the same, so each group of stars, joined together, are unique. At the end of the game, you have your very own sky made of joined constellations, thatβs uniquely yours to export and share with others! Show us your own sky and wallpapers in the comments! β¨

Great graphics, fun game. I included it in my GMTK compilation video series, if youβd like to take a look. :)
Thank you very much for playing again, Jupiter! Glad you enjoyed putting some constellations together! Here's to the next jam! π€
This is a very peaceful experience, I do love how it hangs together and the music is just the right balance of adventure and just hanging out. If it zoomed out further and further as you went or something, like Mini Metro, you could just continue on forever.
All I can think of to say are out-of-scope-jam things, like wishing the connections you could make were a little more flexible - or actually I think what I mean most by that is the ability to leave something connected only once where it COULD be connected more than once, or something like that. Like, "finish picture" even if you could connect a point to more points if you wanted to. ^_^
The name generation is funny though some of them can occasionally end up slightly questionable XD It might be even more engaging if you were presented with 2-3 possible names for your new constellation and could pick between them (now that I've thought that, I really want it hahaha!!)
Thank you all for making this lovely game!!! ^_^
Thanks a lot, and woah, some of those do sound like fantastic ideas! Ultimately, we love these kind of games where we could just continue adding features for more personalized ideas, so that feedback and the suggestions would be fantastic to implement. We're not having any plans to do any big update to this, but we'd certainly consider some of those were we to get the opportunity. Thanks, and cheers! π₯
Lovely game, it really felt soothing to just connect the stars and see the sky gradually fill up with constellations. The audio is really nice, too! I could definitely imagine playing a larger game of this-- I especially think playing this with touch controls would be really satisfying.
Getting words this kind still feels surreal and fuzzy. Thanks a lot! And yeah, we do think that something like this could certainly find its place in the mobile landscape!
I cannot give anything less than full score to this game. The art, the colors, the music, the respect to the theme, the gameplay... It is finished, extremely well done and wonderful!
It's such a relaxing experience, I still can't believe I spent so much time taking pictures of stars. You start with nothing and end up with a starry sky full of constellations, so it really feels like you accomplished something.
The fact you though about adding a way to export it as a background is the icing on the cake.
Fantastic job to the whole team! It's one of my favourite games for this year's jam!
Thanks for the rating, but even more, for the thoughtful comments! Exporting the background was among the first ideas we had for the game, even before we knew if it was going to be possible at all. So at least, we're happy that people have been using it! π
Very lovely! Very calming! Reminds me of Pokemon Snap in the best ways! And a little bit of Katamari! Very beautiful art and felt very polished! It could easily be released as a full cellphone game! Great work!
At some point we thought to make an android build for it, but we decided to hold off because we wouldn't be able to test it proper in time for the jam. But who knows? It'd be a fun experiment! Thanks for giving it a try!
Wonderful art and crazy amount of polish. The snap type gameplay is pretty unique for this jam, and assigning points to several different values gives the player incentive to try to capture different images. I felt like the screen got a little busy towards the end and it was harder to track things. Maybe the characters from posted constellations fade a little until the end to help distinguish them from other items?
Fantastic job overall. Trying to give feedback, however nitpicky lol. Well done!
Thanks for the kind words! And of course, that's also very valuable feedback! There's always things we could have done better, and things to improve if we get the chance to update this game down the line! All feedback is good, so thanks a lot!
Absolutely nuts how well polished this is!
That's the result of getting most of the loop done within reasonable time. That allowed to allocate a bunch of time on polish, polish, polish~
I'm blown away you were able to make this extremely polished game in 48 hrs! My jaw dropped as I was playing! amazing work!
Thanks for playing it! 48 hours well spent to give people a good time!
Amazing art and very unique gameplay!
Really really good! :0
Thanks! The team is humbled by these praises! β
I loved this experience so much! The art and execution is frankly stunning, I can't believe your team put all this together in only 48 hours. I loved being able to download my sky at the end and save it as a wallpaper. I could play this forever, it was so zen and wonderful. Thanks so much for making this, it was truly wonderful!
By the way, we played your game on our stream tonight!
Hey, thanks a lot for playing our game on the stream! We've been in a few and would have loved to have witnessed that one live, but we're just happy that you two had a great time with it! Always good to know that our effort led others to have a great time!
And thanks in general for doing this kind of videos! It means a lot to us, so I can only imagine that you have made the day of a lot of other developers! π
What a relaxing beautiful game! Well done! :D
Thanks for giving it a try! People getting some tranquillity out of it really soothes us! π
It's very relaxing, good job!
Thank you! Glad you had a nice time! π
This was a relaxing and beautiful experience. I love the ideas incorporated here and this is a gotta try type of game.
I played it here:
Thank you very much for playing our game on stream yesterday! We are super glad that you enjoyed your time with it! π
As usual, you made a game so freacking beautiful its hard to believe. The game is super chill and I like that, original and cute.
I like the random names and I'm a huge fan of the dog with a balloon <3
Glad to see you around again, Elendow! π We've been looking forward to playing your game too! It looks great!
The random names were really fun to do too! The dog with a balloon is actually from our Ludum Dare 47 game Woofice Chair! though they seem to have managed to float all the way from that game over here. πΆ
