Cool! I like the lighting effects and the mechanics were very clear and simple. There were interesting puzzles made from those mechanics as well.
At first I liked the tile-based movement, but then it became difficult to tell whether the line would hit a red circle after making a move. That compounded into frustration with the restart when a mistake was made. Maybe free movement would serve it better, a preview move, or ability to undo moves?
Overall was a fun idea. Nice job!
Thanks! Yeah, I'll find another movement system/solution to the problems if I develop this further.
Nice. This can totally work as a full game with increasingly complex levels. The light effect is good, and it's fine that the movement is restricted to the tiles. Although it could be totally free movement, and that would feel more fluid. If played on a gamepad with 4 different directional controllers (2 sticks, dpad, buttons) all of the circles could be moved simultaneously.
Thanks! that's a good idea, I wonder how it would feel to use different buttons/joysticks for the different dots...
Yeah, not sure, but I really wanted to move 2 dots at the same time on the level where the red ball is in the middle and you have to swap 2 dots to get their order right.
This is one of those cases where you take a really simple set of mechanics that are intuitive to understand and control (good for a game jam) and you just do them well with good level design.
Initially I really liked the slow ramping up of difficulty and smooth introduction of concepts, but I found that the difficulty really spiked once I reached the level with 3 dots. Of course it's hard to do so in a game jam, but that would be my one piece of feedback - add an easier level or two before that one to smooth out the difficulty curve.
I think we actually have similar styles in terms of minimalist art and gameplay, so I would love your feedback on my game as well. Thanks for making this!
Yeah, I found it really hard to foresee how difficult the puzzles would be. I actually had a level I didn't get time to upload that I think should be an easier three-dot level. I'll make sure to check out your game!
In that case, please upload a build with that new level after the Jam is over, I'd love to try.
Really nice idea and the minimalist artstyle is very appropriate. I find it quite annoying to have to reach my mouse to interact with the menu. Besides that, I really liked this game.
Thanks! I'll keep that in mind next time :)
It was a pleasant game - thank you!
I can only think of three matters off the top of my head. First, the movement is quite jerky, and feels unresponsive because of it. Second, the spheres that disappear when the button is pressed should, it seems, be at least outlined. Their exact positioning is hard to memorize because of the uniform background, and, together with the movement issues, they can cause a reset without any clear fault from the player's side, hitting a connection line with only their edge. A simple outline when they are deactivated would be more than welcome! Finally - and, admittedly, there is some jealousy in this point - the name does not quite fit the action. Entanglement in its most used form is quantum entanglement (these days, at least), and is about transferring properties between what is entangled, while here it is just a connection, albeit one that does not impact the properties of the things it connects.
But these point are hardly any effective attacks on the game - quite the opposite. I only see how the game could be made better, which, undoubtedly, is twice as true for its author. There are no issues, only imperfections, a thing to be expected at jams. So, I shall repeat myself: it was a pleasant game - thank you!
Thank you for the kind words and constructive criticism! I thought about the name thing you mentioned, but decided to go for aesthetics over accuracy, haha :)
Great game! Looks great and is really well polished! Definitely worth updating in the future with other cool features! Great work!
I'd appreciate it if you could play/rate my game as well! :)
Thanks! I'll make sure to take a look at your game :)
This has a lot of potential. You should add more levels in post jam update.
Thanks, maybe i will :)
This is the best take on this type of puzzler I've gotten to play this jam -- well done dude! You really managed to remove the confusion and trouble of managing multiple characters, instead focusing on a tightly built puzzle. This would make for an awesome
toiletmobile game!Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Where can I listen to the music on loop?
Here, haha! It's a great track isn't it?
Great submission! I loved to play it, very relaxing. I'd like to see more levels after the jam!
Thank you!
@JacoboHansen the movement was smooth good lighting, SFX s are good with the game. Overall nice job :D
Thanks, im glad you liked it!
The line renderer component it's probably been used in this jam more then any jam LOL , i think u should change the switch to some other button like "space bar" cuz when u want to switch but u have to remember which one is 1 or which is 2 impact the experience a lot, but over all noice work !
yeah others have said that as well. That was actually how I had it originally, but it seemed more effective to use numbers, probably because I played it like a thousand times and had everything memorized.
Simple, solid puzzle game! Nice lighting and great theme interpretation!
Thanks!
Cute little game :) love the volumetric 2d lights. The red circle should have a marker where it re-appears imo, otherwise you re-appear it and instantly break.
Yeah, people have mentioned that, so that was definitely an oversight on my part.
A solid puzzle game and a great use of the Jam's theme.
I found the game really pleasant to play. I really believe that this game has potential.
Your visual design is great, and something that I think you could push further with more time.
Definitely a game to be proud of.
I'll keep following you to see how you progress as a developer
Thank you very much!
Cool take for the theme, you can also easily add a lot of stuff after the game.
I kept switching to the wrong target, so for me I'd prefer just cycling through them instead of pressing numbers, but this is really my nit picking.
Well done!
Thanks! Yeah i thought about cycling instead, and it was actually like that in the beginning, but I switched it up when I added the third sphere, but if I ever take this further I'll try it out again!
Great atmosphere and a solid concept. My only criticisms would be that I wish there was a preview of the red dot's area when it was deactivated. This definitely has a lot of potential though if you'd ever consider expanding on it - I could see this making a really solid puzzle game with a few more mechanics.
Thanks, i'm glad you liked it! Yeah, multiple people have already mentioned the red dot thing, so I'll keep that in mind for the future!
cool game really like the puzzles thy were not to hard but took a second to figure out for some of them good job.
Thaks, I'm glad you liked them!
A solid puzzle concept well executed! I thoroughly enjoyed playing this!
I'm glad you liked it!
Really nice take on the theme, got very interesting when there was three to control! Good job :)!
Thanks!
