Nice work! A bit too much on the visuals and screen shake in game.

pretty nice. I really like the music. The flashing lights are a bit much-- I'd do it slightly less but it feels nice. I don't like these kinds of games but this was nice

I think the mechanic has promise, but lacks reasons to use anything but the bomb gun currently. Perhaps with more time and enemy types the idea could fully flourish. For a game jam though good job

Really cool idea that suffers from a lack of ideal situations. There wasn't really a reason for me to use other weapons when hiding in a corner, and throwing bombs constantly worked as well as it did. It would have been cool to see each weapon do certain things regarding movement or damage dealing. I'm sure with more time this mechanic could be REALLY COOL, so at least there's that.

I liked the training room. Are there more levels? Sitting in the corner with pistol is the best strategy right now :D I went throwing bombs on the walls to find next level but nothing happend. It would be a good mechanic to make players their ways through the walls

The game is a bit hard to play because of all the flashing colors and screenshake.

It's hard to FEEL when you lost a life.

The concept is cool, but the weapons are a bit samey. The 3 types are: Bomb, Gun-Pickacxe, Gun. The rest are just guns but differently.

Despite these, I like the style, and the initial idea. Not bad.

This is an interesting game!  I love the retro art style, that said the screen shake and flashing lights are a bit much (I could barely see what was going on).  The weapon combining is cool but doesn't feel fleshed out.

Fun times! I liked the screen shake and player feedback. That bomb gun is the best by far lol!

Yes balance is not my strong suit

I like the disco theme! The weapon combinations seemed pretty samey, but I did only use one, so... ;)

Cool original idea. Some more level design could really go a long way to making this a more fun game. I would work on in-game tutorials introducing ideas slowly one step at a time.

Super original game idea. I feel the menu buttons could be more responsive. Also, not that I'm sensitive to flashy lights,  but this messes with the contrast. It's hard to keep track of the player. Amazing job though!

Hi! Congrats on submitting to the jam, making a game in 48h is so hard. The idea behind your game is very original, and I feel like it can be expanded much much more. The music is awesome, good job composing that! Maybe in the next project you could try to make the camera a bit more stable and follow other feedback from the coments, but hey, awesome project, be really proud of submitting something.

The concept of your game is very original. However i couldn't play longer than a minute because of the flashy background, too much screenshake and the screen like constantly glitching a bit up & down. If you work on those things i could imagine it being a fun experience :).

Hey. Some feedback:

- The music on the menu is freaking annoying mate.

- I like your take on the theme, but weapons 1 and 1+3,1+2 are almost useless, if not harmful to the player. Furthermore, since weapons 2, 3, and 2+3 are hit-kill, there is no reason to not use 2+3, as it does AoE and fires like a normal bullet. Having them dealing different amounts of damage would have made the game more interesting.

- The flashing backgrounds felt unnecessary.

- I wish you'd telegraph where enemies are going to spawn.

- Staying on the corner of the map is massively overpowered.

- My bullets should not go through walls.

- I wish there'd be a way to tell my score on the lose screen  + my high score. Furthermore, I sometimes went back to the menu screen right after losing accidentally.

Due to my last point, I have no idea what my high score is, so here is a nice/decent ( maybe ) score:

I liked the concept, and the game was simple to understand! I like the training ground, but it'd be nice if you could respawn directly back into the game when you lost

Enemies hard somewhat hard to distinguish from the background, though I like the tiles changing to the beat. Idea of joining weapons is neat and I can easily image expanding it through new mechanics.

Submitted

Although it is a bit too distracting to play with on full screen the idea for your background works pretty well. I like the combination system with weapons but I think you miss something. What I mean is, you should add something like a dropping chance on each enemy. You get random weapons, you try to combine them and you came up with a better (or worse) one than before.

There is potential in your weapon combination system, just be sure to expand it for further features.

PS: A restart option without the music cut would be loved.

Loving the weapon combo system, I'd like to see that expanded into something larger (but maybe with a slightly less abrasive background). Good job!

too loud :c

Really interesting concept, fun to blast all the enemy's. The combining guns idea is really neat, but there's no encouragement to switch guns more than once. Maybe an ammo system could help with that if you decide to continue this. That way you have to switch guns when you run out of ammo, then collect ammo for that specific gun by shooting enemy's. Great submission!

About this, since I was using the free version of construct I couldn't really do this since I had exactly 50 instance variables. I also tried implementing a firing rate to encourage the player to use other items but I couldn't get it to work.
