This is pretty fun to play around with, if it had more systems it could probably be expanded into a bigger game! I love hexagon grids and I love this game. Good work!
Really nice game, especially for a one-person team!
As several people have mentioned the game is a little too simple. Or at least, I feel that there isn’t enough tension, as it’s almost impossible to fail (only with very bad luck I guess? Unless there is guaranteed sun spawn).
It was nice that you added a tutorial at the beginning, it made the placement rules a lot easier to understand. If you had time, adding an “allowed placements” indication would also be great, because once the game started I didn’t remember the distance for sun to grass. For example, if the next time you are supposed to add is a grass, you could highlight all tiles within 4 distance of a sun.
I also found a small bug: if you have a grass or water and select a tile of the same type, nothing is placed, but time still move forward.
Anyway, great game, and here is my perfect sun-grass-water lasagna
Thanks! Yeah for the selection of available placements, since I'm using Unity's grid system and spawning Game Objects on top of it, I can't easily highlight available spots. I could only think of a solution that might work, but I'll give it a try! I'm also experimenting with ways to make the game more interesting and pose more of a threat to the player. And thanks for telling me about the bug, I made the game turn based last second so that's why the suns feel like they last forever (you can change turn based in the options menu). And nice looking lasagna!
Nice concept, but I’d say it’s relatively simple and gets boring too fast, having some more content there would be nice. Also the map should probably be fully contained inside the screen, with no tiles lying on the screen border. Anyways, fun puzzle, good job!
This is a very nice casual puzzle game. I could see this doing very well as a mobile game actually, due to how fun and quick it is. The only real problem is it's a bit too simple and gets fairly repetitive after a while, which could be solved by adding more tiles with more complex rules the higher your score is. I'd love to see this expanded on in the future.

A very relaxing game, the simple interactions between tiles make it really easy to engage and the art and music is perfectly fitting for the game, I would like to see a little more complex tiles that make you be strategic, that would make it the perfect casual game
Thanks! I agree that having more complexity would be nice, however I couldn't think of a good way to incorporate it, whether it's adding new tiles or a new gameplay mechanic, I couldn't find a good solution. I'm open to any ideas though! But thanks for playing and your feedback!
maybe a lily pad that you can only place over a water tile (when replacing it) or a tree sapling that grows after some time but has to have sun and water all the time while growing, a composter would be also cool, just like water that doubles the points but it has a greater range
ooooh, Those are some really cool ideas! I'll experiment with some of the ideas on paper. But I'm not sure if it would add the wanted complexity, maybe it would, but I was maybe thinking of adding a threat. One that could setback the player or force the player to react in some way. Either way though, I like your ideas!
yeah a threat like fire spreading would be cool, but for this game I think the threat should be more of running out of space or making a perfect setup that makes more points with the fewer time. I think the score system could be changed a little so you don’t just remove grass to and then place grass on that same space again infinitely

Is it intended that you can place grass tile on top of the sun and replace it? It feels like not but mybe Im wrong
It... was, before the suns didn't die, so it was nice to be able to replace it, but after making it so Plants need to be in sun to be placed and suns die out, it's there, but without good reason. Thanks for the feedback!

Relaxing game, I kinda find a optimal way to stack the tiles to get a high point, wish there's more tile types to shake up the mechanics, overall a very good game, each tiles depends on each other, matches the theme very well
Great job, the game was surprisingly zen and I found myself very satisfied slowly filling out rivers of water and huge patches of plants. Once or twice the pieces got stuck or pushed themselves around, but the game carried on as usual. Got to 202 points when I completed the board. Feels like the game could use a clearer victory or defeat condition, since it seems to be luck whether you'll receive a sun. Nonetheless, great effort and I could totally see this working as a competitive board game.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I do wish for more of a threat than not getting a Sun tile, I almost added an infection/disease tile that corrupts nearby tiles, but I simply didn't have the time. Since it's a casual game I figured dying out every now and then would be good (I know it's by luck, but still). But I appreciate your feedback!
