How does your game fit the theme?
Please download V2 https://mxdirector.itch.io/controlswitch-v2 as I forgot to set the enemies instantiation on. the jump and shoot keys are randomly joined to other commands. e.g. look left to shoot

Played the second version of the game. The art is awesome! The music is also really well made and the concept is really neat. However, I couldn't jump with the space bar, and noticed that the enemies clip through the stage when following you, making it difficult at times to find them. Really fun game, be proud of what you guys made in 48 hours.
Nice Idea! love the style and it looks pretty awesome for 48hrs crongrats !
couldn't jump with the space bar I don't know if I did something wrong just that. (:
The game has a well-realized and visually pleasing style. The changes to controls force you to make careful decisions about how to lead your shots, especially when it is bound to mouse movement. It is quite easy to get overwhelmed with enemies, and it’s not clear how many hits you can take. Being able to see the controls after they have changed is a very helpful feature. Unfortunately, the controls feel quite slidy yet rigid (you seem to keep moving for a little while after releasing a direction, before coming to an immediate stop). Jumping also seems to only work on rare occasions with angled floors, which is a little frustrating with the bumpy ground. It would also be nice to have some more feedback on hitting an enemy. It’s quite fun if you can manage to survive for a significant length of time, but I feel that the controls really need some adjustment.
sorry i was not able to play it for real. i could not jump and was not able to get used to the controls befor they changed
The art is stunning, but I'm constantly fighting the controls, and can get a bit frustrating.
My recommendations is to keep the controls in a corner for quick reference.
That is such a good idea, and so simple of a solution that I'm annoyed that I didn't think of it. Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for considering the feedback, hope you don’t mind giving feedback to my entry.
I did, yesterday, that's why I thought you commented on mine.
I think that makes me understand that I need more sleep.
Noice Game!!!!
I love the art style it was comic but retro!!
the 3D art with 2D shade is amazing, the sooting game is pretty fun, cool!
really nice entry! :D
the music and the art style are so great! :D
what how is this song called? (dit you make it yourself :O)
also love the concept with the controlls!
well done! :)
Toon shading was great. The mechanics were a bit hard to grasp while playing but it could work. I just wish the moving controls were a bit more responsive? I’m not sure i was doing something wrong or movement just lagged a bit at times.
The art is really cool! Even though it is written to be poorly drawn, I think te mixture between 3d and the 2d style is working for me. Also, the way you implemented the jam's theme is quite interesting. The only thing I do miss are some enemies to shoot at, but nevertheless, good job!
Love the art! Good job ^^
Love the music!
Cool idea! Shame I didn't get many enemies but the music and art and ideas were really cool!
yes, it was silly of me. To fix a late bug I switched off the enemy instantiation. I only realised that after submissions ended and people have echoed this point, that I never switched it back on. Really stupid of me.
I did reupload a fixed version to a new project:https://mxdirector.itch.io/controlswitch-v2
But luckily this is a friendly community and people here are forgiving of that hiccup.
Cool idea. Kinda reminds me of that other game that slows down time when the player is standing still. If these two mechanics came together you'd have a cool puzzle shooter.
Cool idea! Really cool drawings. I didn't have many enemies appear but I had fun just messing with the concept.
Nice idea, well executed. Loved the art style a lot!
Great concept! I love the gun art and the color scheme in the backgrounds. I only encountered one enemy, though... But I think this premise has a lot of potential!
cool shooting animation, lmao
Good concept for a game idea. I haven't seen this too many times before.
Nice game, but I got a bit lost after killing the first enemy. It seems like a cool idea though.
