How does your game fit the theme?
The Follower is a horror/puzzle game where the enemy is your biggest light source in a dark maze of corridors. You depend on this enemy to get around, but you also have to be careful near it, as getting too close to its light will get you killed.

I really did like the concept a lot!
That sets up a terrifying atmosphere pretty well. Especially with the follower's SFX. Some of the levels can be done by hugging walls instead of calling the follower, maybe a few more puzzles with the follower as a power source could be interesting. I liked it!
Nice use of atmosphere and theme! It was very clear how you play, what the goal is and generally setting the mood. In a way, the game's main mechanics do feel a bit gimmicky mostly because you have a lot of control how to handle the situations. Which is superhard to both create and balance during a jam, so getting the atmosphere down felt more important in this case. Great job!
cool game!
Very good game! It was a great experience!
Really cool game with some great atmosphere. My only critique is that basically every level can be solved by just luring the monster into a corner immediately and then fumbling around in the dark until you find an exit- I feel like the idea here seems to be that you can use the monster to light your way but in practice it's much safer to just walk around semi-blind. Maybe the balance should be re-tweaked so the monster produces more light, or there should be some punishment to the above strategy. Still, really cool game- it's really impressive you could make a horror game in a jam, this is the first and only one I've seen like it.
This was incredibly atmospheric and very scary. My only feedback would be to make being in darkness a truly BAD thing so that you have to rely on the creepy monster. At present, you can fumble around until you get somewhere. But loved the game!
Very cool and spooky game! It deserves more attention, but its harder to get downloads than web plays.
The stream vod will stay up for 2 weeks at http://bit.ly/bean-stream
Really cool art! I like how you need to use the monster to see the way out, il suggest maybe making the call button and the restart button a bit farther away, To avoid unwanted clicks.
Thanks for playing! I've seen a few players have that same issue, so it's something I'll definitely consider changing for a post mortem build.
Loved the in-game tutorial. Felt like I learned the core mechanic organically without having to read a tutorial which is something I am not very good at.
Thanks! I aimed exactly for that, so I'm glad to see it taught you as intended!
Sooooo creepy! I loved it, calling it and barely getting out of the way was great. With so little, you really get so much mood!

The chase at the end was awesome.
The game is really well made, not only do you need to avoid the enemy but you also need it to light the way. A very innovative concept with great execution!
original idea!
nice horror tone, the ambience really sell it

I loved this game. It has got kind of alien isolation vibes. Here you have to stay away from the creature's light but you also need it to see where you have to go.
I wasn't a big fan of the music, but that's probably just me, I liked the levels and idea, great job!
Really like the Idea for this one.
