I didn't think I would spend more than 10 seconds with this, but I went through a good chunk of waves, the first bunch figuring out that I was combining multiple waveforms and the rest practicing. Shockingly interesting to my mathy side and very creative.
Loved this one, awesome work as always. I could definitely see this used to teach the basic concept of how waves add together in an education setting. Took me a second to understand the controls, but I imagine there isn't much you can do to further label the knobs with the limited size of the pico-8 window. Excellent job!
This was a cool little PICO-8 toy with great little details on the knobs. It looks amazing, and it was cool to spin stuff around to see what waves I could come up with. And I am always amazed at what people can come up with in PICO-8, especially in a 48hr time frame!
By the way, we played your game on our stream tonight!
Very unique take on the theme, i enjoyed it.
I really like the look of this game! It was hard at first to get the controls, a tutorial may help with that, but it was fun.
Really liked the style!
Wow, this game is a lot like mine! A little different though (mine isn't fourier it's function composition, but still! Awesome work!
Really captivating aesthetic!
The fact you managed this in pico-8 is very impressive! It's not much of a game per se but I enjoyed playing around with it. It looks lovely too.
It looks really good, I enjoyed playing it and it confirmed my suspicion that fourier transforms are hard.
The aesthethics drew me in. Love how it looks. The gameplay might be a bit simple / non-existing - but nevertheless I had a couple of fun minutes playing around with the knobs.
And could be my browser, but there was no sound / music?
It can be fun if developed more, a little introduction to what each knob does would be great.
This is actually kinda fun once you get the hang of it. I think having a quick tutorial with simple waves forms to start would go a long way for on-boarding.
I think this is an interesting concept, a little hard to grasp but very cool
Interesting take on the theme and nice visuals, but I must admit I don't really know what I'm doing.
It's quite fun! But it seems you can just use RGALL and CHOIO? It reminds me of that one puzzle in Myst 4.
This could've saved me a few headaches figuring out how JPEG compression worked at uni...
Absolutely slammed it out of the park. I have consistently come back to this over the past couple days, so 5/5 from me
really great! once it sunk in that you have sin waves of different frequencies that you are amplifying and shifting, it because easier to realize how to "tune" the signal. great job!
Lovely aesthetic! Excellent execution if slightly confusing controls. Takes a bit of getting the hang of. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I didn't get any audio out of this game?
