I think how you used the joined together theme is rather clever! The art is fantastic and the music sets the vibe beautifully. Well done!

This was a interesting take on the theme and the presentation is gorgeous. However the main gameplay loop felt a little broken or cumbersome, Trying to combine stories seems like a really cool idea, but in game it was difficult to know if I was doing it right or not. There wasn't much player feedback, and when I did get stories to combine I never got a ticket. So I am assuming I needed more story fragments, but I just couldn't tell. I gave the game a solid shot and didn't get a single ticket. (It was also kind of late when I played so I might not have just understood what I was suppose to do)

I did play it on stream if you want more feedback:

Really nice character designs and interesting take on the theme, focusing it on the story rather on mechanics. Matching the correct sequences is a bit cumbersome for my taste, but I did enjoy the character stories you told throughout the game, as well how they intertwined with another.

I want to play your game so, so badly, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make the tickets. Like I've got everyone matched up in my head, but no matter how hard I try I cannot actually make a ticket. Is it about matching a certain part of their dialogue? Putting something back in order? I've tried clicking and dragging them together, but I just get an angry "NO" even though there's only one artist in the bunch and I know these stories go together!

I'm so confused, and it honestly ticks me off because otherwise I friggin love this game and I just wanna make the ghosts all happy :(

Like I don't even want to review this because clearly other people have figured it out and I wanna come back and actually finish it because the idea is so good, and I love a good story-based game! For now I'm just gonna leave a comment and go to bed, but I do want to come back to this, maybe when I'm a bit less tired and ranty lol

Big apology for the confusion. We're definitely in agreement that the game needs more clear instructions.

You essentially got it in that each ghost pairs with another ghost. They key is that once you know which ghosts are a pair, you also have to figure out which SINGLE piece of dialogue from each fits together. So to take the artist as an example (spoiler/hint ahead) the two artist ghosts are telling different parts of the same story, but each one has a piece of dialogue that directly references being old and crippled. Combining those two will make a ticket. Same case for each other pair of ghosts; you're looking for the pieces from each story that most closely resemble eachother.

Ah, ok. I guessed that, but my focus was on the fact that he was holding his canvas, since that seemed to be a huge focus of his life. When that didn't work, I was resorting to random guesswork. :( I guess it's just a matter of playtesting and just making sure that it's clear which piece is the actual joining part versus just the rest of the story.... I'll go ahead and finish the game now so I can rate lol

Thanks for taking the time to explain despite my late-night rant, and thank you for making such a cool game!

This game is beautiful and very relaxing.  I love it! It did take me a while to learn what to do, but ultimately I liked it a lot.

Really cool and innovative concept, tough there's a bit too much reading for me to enjoy it sadly... :P

Really nice idea - it was a bit of a challenge matching the stories, but it was very interesting! And it's well polished giving a quiet, chill atmosphere.

Really fantastic atmosphere and visuals! Really nice scene flow, gives a tranquil vibe!

Really nice idea and great presentation. Found it hard to get hooked, though - maybe too tired to  read all the text fragments. Will try again later when not so exhausted from participating in the jam.

Oh wow, it's really chill and beautiful, the theme is more respected in a story sense but I can see the originality on the gameplay too :)

The only downside is the speed of our character, it takes a long time to go from one end to another

You can hold shift to go faster! Sorry we forgot to mention it anywhere :)
