Ooooh you might be right about the music layering - i was having a rough time with the restart and totally didn't think about the music restarting again

Took me a minute to realize I could place buildings, and I had to restart the game with that in mind. However, I do feel like my buildings exploded a lot, and there wasn't really a good source of metal for me to rebuild them. Not sure if that's just me needing to git gud tho

"hot" game! ;)

I wish I could attack a liiiiiittle bit faster in the very beginning, but maybe I just need to dump all my stat materials into attack speed lol

I like how chill this felt, but I kept feeling like there wasn't much for me to do but watch and maybe react a bit here and there. The aesthetics are gorgeous and this is one of the more creative entries in the jam I think!

It was a bit hard to shoot enemies since they moved around so fast, but I like the vibe of the game!

The computer opponent went way too fast for me to see what it was doing, and I felt like the balance was a little off, but it was very clear what your cards were doing and (while there's a lot) the effect were relatively simple. It might be easier to grasp all the mechanics if they are introduced one at a time - fight an opponent who is explicitly weak to a burning playstyle and then giving the player a burning-centric deck for example.

Got stuck right at the end with the ball stuck going perfectly left & right - don't even know how I did it lol

But I love this take on the theme and hope that someone else can get these two lover to their rings!

I love how I could never get comfortable with my health - it was always hovering around 5 and it made this frantic fast-paced game super fun!

Cool response to the prompt! It was a bit too dark for me to see, even with the torch, but I like the idea!

Had to turn down mouse sensitivity for this one because sometimes when I looked around I'd just slide off a platform!

But I can tell a lot of work went into the 3-D art for this game!

Really cool take on the theme. Also, really appreciated that dev note lol

Love the idea of shooting objects to shrink them! I was never quite sure when I shrunk them enough or if just letting them him my lil gun ship did anything, but it's cool!

(1 edit)

I think what feels weird about the controls is the way that you need to move the arm over to the right, but then once you grab something, you need to move the body to the right - not the arm around and to the left. This means that physically, my mouse keeps moving closer and closer to the end of my desk, and it's a weird disconnect in what I'm controlling moment to moment.

but the viusals are clear, and I can totally respect that this can tickle the fancy of those who like things like Getting Over It

This is one of the most enjoyable games I've played this jam - the brain blast I had when I realized my tongue could extend beyond the pond was awesome. And the ending was just perfect!

I like how clunky and cute the lil guys are! I did get stuck on some ledges a lot, but was still able to get around fine

Super fun!! Took me a minute to realize that the things flying at me after killing a ship were more guns but ooooh that is fun! And then it makes it easier for things to hit you too?? so cool!

Huh I tried to go left but I thought it was blocked - maybe I just didn't go far enough

I really loved this! the block placing gets appropriately frantic, especially when you have to wait for a block and all you can do is watch the water climb ever higher!

I like this idea, but I felt like some things weren't loading right? like the second level I never found the blue boxes that are showing in your screenshots... I noticed some other games had issues with things not loading in webGL, maybe there's something going on there?

Really cool idea to have you shrink as you move! I liked the challenge of the puzzle but I kinda wish the coverage thing was more of a ranking system of how good you did at the level, rather than a condition to win. Some of us ain't very good at vidya games lol

I suck at these kinds of games, but I like the upgrade system!

Cool game and vibe! Love all the different cultures. I agree that the tutorial was a bit hard to understand, but I understood it enough to play.

Balance-wise, I was able to cheese a win by just putting anyone not in my cult in one big line. Might be interesting to try to combat that strategy (maybe other cutlists can get suspicious? or building deep has a price?)

Like I kept trying to click a box to grab it, but I got no response. I couldn't tell if it was because it was too heavy, too far, or just stuck under something.

Had a lot of fun, but I found that the swarms of toys were far more threatening than the bosses. Also, cannon is the best weapon, might be more interesting to upgrade that (or nerf it I guess, but the gameplay is fun shooting stuff!) than to get a bunch of cool swords that I won't use

I didn't quite get how the "growing" part was involved, but at least the theme of the game had an interesting scale of being inside someone's stomach! I appreciated how there were multiple platforming paths in the beginning, too

Really loved the art and vibes! Felt like it was a bit hard to aim the telescope where I wanted it to zoom in/out though

Really loved this one! Some of the radii were a bit hard to see in the dark, but I think that's a good thing, since it kinda represents the player's detection radius! I'd almost give sliiiightly less time, but I also can see how if you got really tangled up in the labyrinth that it'd be stressful to escape!

This is a cool idea but I really didn't love the forming thoughts minigame. I couldn't see where I was and wasn't supposed to click, so it made it difficult to see what the intended solution was.

Fun game! I do with there was a wee bit more leniency for getting through those really tight holes, as even with the shrink it's a bit hard to get through. Also, I had a hard time figuring out how close I could get to planets to drop off cargo.

But the ART STYLE!!!

I got to 1468! I wish there was more of a visual difference between smaller and larger fish, and I wish the dots under the arrows were a bit bigger and maybe a different color from the ocean bubbles? But overall, this is very fun and addicting. Great game!

Got to 41,000!

I wish you could've seen how my cats reacted to the sound of the meows in this game - they were so confused!

I think a bit less gray would've made the scene easier to see, but I love how you had the health bar just be the color of the cat's lights!

Really like how you have the "spacetime fabric" thing going, but it did feel kinda strange that black holes had such a small radius of affect lol

Also, I wish I had more time to look at the whole puzzle before I suddenly had to make choices - it made solving things a little stressful, and then I had to wait through a whole cutscene to get back to where I was

Great use of the theme! Loved having the different perspectives help make it easier to find certain items!

I got to 970! Have to congratulate you on making a simple, yet fun game, and especially for making this both nice on mobile and PC!

I like how you can increase/decrease the scaling while the rocket is in orbit - it increases the complexity of the puzzles in a cool way! It might be easier to solve if the scaling was discreet instead of continuous, but that feels like an artistic preference

Cool idea, but I didn't get that I was supposed to hit the other guy until reading the game page. Maybe have it so that there's a noticeably different animation when you can bump them? Sorta like how pacman's ghosts completely change color when you can eat them?

The boulders rolling at me were really freaky the first time I saw them. Couldn't figure out how to attack them, though

A cute take on the theme! Love the art style, too!

I wonder if this could be accomplished with fewer buttons?

Ok, great idea, but I can't figure out how to get to the end and I think there might be some glitches in the way of people solving it. For one, sometimes when you put down the crowbar you can't pick it back up again - especially after grabbing the white plate (which I still don't know what it does because I can't tell what it is.) This led me to believe that each item can only be used once. It was only when checking your screenshots that I realized that you can carry the crowbar and be fully decked out
