I really love your art style! Fun game, took me a bit to figure out how to drive the characters. Great fitting music!

Developer

Thank you so much! We will work on tutorials a little after jam, so it would be easier to understand "mimic"-control mechanic :)
We are so glad that you enjoyed it!

A good and polished game! The puzzles were good and you executed the idea well. The music fitted the game and I loved the artwork. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We tried our best. We glad you enjoyed it :)

This is a simple concept that you've executed extremely well. There's lot of great levels here with challenging puzzles and the sound and visuals are all excellent. Incredible work

Developer

Thank you! We are really grateful to hear that! :)

Wow you got an incredible number of levels done within the 48 hour time limit! The puzzles are clever, the artwork is great, and the music is fantastic. All around pretty good.

Developer

Thank you! We tried our best to surprise those who would play our game ^^
We glad you liked it!

Very nice concept with a unique take on the theme. Music and level design is great. Good tutorial levels too!

Developer

Thank you! We wanted players to "feel" the mechanics first, so we sorted the levels by difficulty and put the tutorials first. It's good to know it worked!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I mean, you had me with the music alone, but I enjoyed the game a lot! Level design had a good ramp up in difficulty, really fun stuff. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! Our music artist is very happy that you enjoyed our game, as well as all of our team.

We are glad you liked it! ^^

Although I've seen quite a lot of games tried to interpret the theme as controlling two characters together in the jam so far, the mechanic of this game is quite unique. In fact, the players only control one of the characters and the other just imitate. Therefore, this game creates many different possibilities. The level design of this game is brilliant and clever. Also, the art and music are also pretty good. Had a lot of fun playing this game. Nice work!

Developer

We are glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your review! So nice to hear that from you! ^^ We didn't make the storyline in time and some tutorials sadly. But we will finish it after jam.  :)

Good concept but pls add a tutorial next time good animations

Developer

Will do! Thank you so much for your review!

Nice game, congrats on finishing the Game Jam. I liked the concept, its quite simple to understand so I wasnt stuck at any point. Its very clear what the player needs to do and thats always a good thing. Puzzles are not too difficult so I would deffinetly love to see new mechanics or obstacles eventually.

Good job, see you in the next jam hopefully

Not a bad concept at all! Some of the levels are far more challenging than I would have expected! Looks easy but Isn't! Nice Job!

You are the ONLY  developer I have found that used Construct 2 to create a game. I currently use Construct 3, and it seems Construct programmers are few and far between!  It's such a good game engine, it's sad to see so few people using it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you for your review! We are glad you had a good time in our game ^^

I see that you are a person of culture as well (using Construct) :))
Ye, we love Construct too. It's a great engine, especially for such events. We are sad because it has a lot of restrictions compared to other engines such as Unity, UE4 etc. (especially if you use physics). But we really stick with Contract for now (for next 2-3 games at least).

We hope you gonna do great games it too :)

By the way there is another game-dev who used C3 for this jam: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2021/rate/1086495
Not perfect, but still a person from our Construct club ^^

Very good game especially the art and music are nie <3 The concept fits the theme very well and is fun =D

Developer

Thank you! We are glad you like it!
We gonna work hard to finish it :)

This was pretty fun! I feel like similar mechanics have been seen a lot in this jam, but you have a great execution of it here. The art & music is pretty fun too :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We really tried to do it special. We knew that this idea of moving one object by moving another will be used a lot, so we tried to improve it as much as we can (with level design, with music and art).
We didn't make the storyline in time... There should have been a reason why Angel and Demon "linked" together. But we will implement it in the next patch ^^

Thank you again for your review! It means a lot to us!

As I'm writing this, I'm vibing to the main menu song. Great work on the music!

I really enjoyed the characters, animations, and smooth movements. And the enjoyable music kept me playing through the times when I was stumped by a difficult puzzle.

A really fun thing about the character is that sometimes it felt like the devil was leading the angel somewhere. Or the devil was blocking me from where i wanted to go

"r" for reset was an awesome touch, thank you for including this. I accidentally backed myself into a corner a couple times and this saved me.

I made it through level 18 (sorry i didnt have time to finish it).

The level design was really good. It felt like i was finding my own way to solve some of them  and in others I had to find the right trick. Whoever came up with the level that has opposing staircases and the goal in the center is a genius. I felt very clever once i solved that one.

The only constructive feedback is that the "tons of portals" type levels felt less strategic. For me i was mostly pushing the opposing character thru a portal till the level happened to end. And i wasn't really sure how i did it. My recommendation is that a fewer number of portals or a visual indication of where they lead (pairs of colors?) could help the player understand the puzzle before they solve it. But its also possible that a smarter puzzle solver than me would have understood it more.

Thank you very much for your review!
Our music artist is very happy that you liked his songs :)

We didn't finish another 20 levels with... alternative "alternative" control. Hopefully, we will add it in the next patch ^^
Ye, some levels turned out a bit tricky, and few of them have only 1 way of solving.
We plan to add "move counter", as well as star-system, so the player can view in the end - how well he solved a particular level.

There were so many ideas about traps, doors etc., but it was still fun to add at least some within 48 hours! :)

Submitted(+2)

Star counter is a great idea, I enjoy that in games, trying to go back and get a perfect score

Great job and glad you're having fun with development and patches. Feel free to ping me when it's out, in curious about this "alternative" control

This was fun! So much so I went all the way to the end! There's definitely a few levels that left me stumped for a while, but I'm impressed by the amount of levels you've managed to fit in, 20 is quite a lot!

I liked the heaven/hell presentation, and the jazzy music of the first levels was very very nice. I didn't like the heaven music as much, as I found it a bit repetitive, but the third and last music was again much better!

I'm quite impressed at how much you managed to get into this game to be honest, so well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review!
It's our honor to make you happy :)

Our music artist worked really hard on hell-music, so there was not really much time to work on heaven's one. We gonna polish it in the next patch definitely :)

Level design has some ways for improvement too... But we are glad that you had a good time solving them! :)

Submitted(+2)

Quite interesting, but it took me a long time to figure out that one of them was mimicking the other. I loved the idea but it would be nice if this mechanic was explained a little bit further within the description for clumsy people like me ;P I liked it overall! Good job ^^

Developer

Thank you!
We wanted to implement a storyline, and it should have included the explanation about "why both of the characters are linked together via control". But, sadly, we didn't make it in time.
We suddenly will finish it, as well as new levels and cutscenes. And a lot of features for levels, such as doors, traps etc.. So much to do, so much... ^^"

Submitted(+1)

I really love the music ^^

Developer

We are really happy that you enjoy it! Thank you! :))

Submitted(+1)

well designed puzzles and movement!

Developer

Thank you! We tried our best but sadly didn't finish an explanation about "why they linked together" as cutscenes between levels.
Gonna work hard-hard-hard to finish it! :)

very well made, super smooth, music kept me from getting too frustrated a couple times. loved the switcharoo.

Developer

Thank you! Our music artist is very happy that he  made your life a bit easier :))

Well thought out puzzles, and I really enjoyed that you can quickly retry.
I liked the mechanic and smooth moving.

Developer

Thank you!
At first, we thought that we should remove R mechanic. But, hopefully, we changed our minds. We are so glad you enjoy it! :)
