The web shooting looked great!
Thanks!
Great concept! It's super satisfying when you catch a fly in the web, you can leave it there and set up for a combo.
Nice menus and general presentation, really well polished.
Great job!
Thanks!
I really loved the concept. It feels like the perfect match for the theme and surprised I haven't seen more of it. It was very satisfying catching the flies and dragging them in. Like, maybe too much fun? I just wanted to keep playing. I love that you've included a free play mode too.
Thanks!
I love the art style and the web shooting fells nice. My only complaint is that the spider is a bit slow for my taste. Fun game :)
Thanks! Yeah some people have said that the spider is quite slow
This is all perfect. It fits the theme very well, the gameplay is very fun with a lot of potential depth, I'll be damned if this isn't a winner!
Like many others, I also hope you'll develop this further at some point after the jam!
Thanks! As I've said iIwill not be continuing development sadly
I loved it! I think you can do sooo much with this mechanic and idea. Hopefully you stick with this even after the game jam -- great work!
Thanks! I won't be sticking with it as I have a large project I am already working on!
no worries, good luck!
I really like your take on the theme "joined together", I've not seen any other games like this! Props for having a volume slider and camera effects toggle. Settings in a 48 hour jam like that are really cool.
I would've really loved to have a tutorial that wasn't text-based. The game was fairly simple in it's control scheme, so it wasn't too hard to figure out without it, nonetheless.
I appreciate that you had different game modes as well. The art style, music, and SFX were also really nice!
Overall, had a lot of fun, good job :)
Thanks! I would have made a proper tutorial, but I was running out of time, so I had to go for a text based one. However I added some videos (that sadly don't work on the web version), so make it a bit easier to understand
This was a really cool take on join together. It took me a moment to get the hang of it, but the game loop is really on point. I tried hard to make different web combinations to get as many flies as possible, but I think it'll take a bit of practice to get the hang of. This definitely feels like a game that would be fun to play on mobile devices. Lovely job!
Thanks! I might try making an android version after the voting period
This is a neat little game for in between, but i personally would have liked some kind of punishment or bigger challenge otherwise it felt a bit too calm for my taste.
Still a very cool concept and a good execution of the idea. Art looks cool, audio is good and the web is a funy mechanic.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the feedback!
Hello again llama crew! I'll be playing Web tomorrow on stream along with several other games from the GMTK jam at 3:30pm EST. I hope to see you there for a good chat about design and development! :)
I'll make sure i'm there!
Great Game, I'm addicted, This would be amazing on mobile, adding hornets that harm the spider could be cool, and add a bit of danger
Thanks for the feedback! Perhaps I will make an android version post-jam
The sound effects are fun, it made sending webs out satisfying, and it was enjoyable to run around the map and eat up flies! I liked the aspect of making a spiderweb after you grabbed enough flies. Good job.
Thanks!
I liked it a lot! Even just the fact that you don't want to just always pull in flies as quickly as possible is a great risk-reward mechanic. An the art and animation is simple and focused, I like that.
Thanks!
Feels good to play, the art is pretty solid, clever take on the theme. Loved it, good work!
Thanks!
Great presentation and satisfying gameplay! The instructions were cut off, so I had a little trouble at first, but it was really fun once I got the hang of it. Very polished visuals as well!
Thanks! It shouldn't be cut off if you fullscreen it!
cool game with nice art my highscore was 72
Thanks!
Wow! That was really great! Music, Art, Gameplay. All great. There is definitely a lot of potential here (maybe different types of food?) but what you have so far is top notch already.
Thanks!
I feel like you could present this game to me and insist I played it growing up. And I'd believe you almost immediately. This was really fun and has some C64 vibes.
Thanks!
At first I thought "wait... why is this 'web' if you're just snagging flies to drag in, then I got two and once and it clicked! Was great fun making a big net to capture a bunch and then combo them.
Occasionally I lost the ability to shoot more webs (I assume it was a cooldown triggering), so maybe a UI display to let the player know that would be good.
Thanks! The amount of web you have left is indicated by the size of the abdomen of the spidrr
Oooooo, I was so focused on the flies I didn't even notice. Clever!
Such a creative, satisfactory and fun title!
Thanks!
