The music is really cool! I really like the concept, but I feel like the character is too slow. I would like to see this kind of game with more time to work, it would be great. Well done!

I liked the story in the beginning and the art, but sadly my the zombies always ate my tree when I was away.

This is a cool story I must admit you can write a fantasy book around it.

As for the gameplay - if you let the player move around most of the time, give the player some speed so it won't feel tedious.

i liked art, music and idea. 
But it was boring and i didn;t know when and were zombies will show... so they just showed up next to tree and ate it? 

Reallyi i have patroled so near the tree that it shouldn't be possible for them to pass me ;(

Hi, I think I figured out why people keep losing even though it seems that there is no zombie around. So in development i had this one zombie to test the zombie behavior and whenever i wouldn't use it i placed it a bit under the map, and i think what happened is, that i forget to delete this zombie so that he sometimes comes out of the earth and eats the tree. Im really sorry for that bug. I will make the best out of it though, the zombies name is now steven and he is a stealth zombie which was mutated using  mole genes. (cause everyone knows, when its part of the Lore its not bad game design xD)

This game is easy to understand. For me, it's a little slow too and I don't understand why zombies eat tree. Haha.

the Zombies eat tree because the zombie apocalypse began in a laboratory where scientists tried to genetically modify a virus. And while doing that they Also added Beaver genes to a deadly virus to make it more water resistant. The next night a scientist sneaked into the facility and stole one virus to sell it to a northkorean terror group. This one virus was the one with the beaver genes. Unfortunately though the terrorists immediately used the virus and set it free in New York city. The virus spread instantly and after a short while the whole world was infected. Unfortunately the Virus had the side effect to reawake the ones who had died to it. These People are the Zombies and the beaver genes caused them to eat all the trees they would find. Thats why the tree in the game is the last one on earth and the zombies are trying to get this last tree now too.

I loved this bonkers story of zombies trying to eat the last tree!!! I also loved the art and atmosphere, the game icons were immediately recognizable (water, ammo, etc) and the idea of venturing out for supplies while also keeping an eye on the tree is a really interesting gimmick. My only issue is that zombies appear way too suddenly from the opposite side and the player doesn't move fast enough to be able to protect the tree for longer than a couple minutes. A neat little game of chicken with zombies, haha. Great game!

Hi thanks for the feedback, im currently working on a patch which i will release after the jam rating period. This patch will include for example sprinting for faster movement and a warning when zombies get near the tree. I hope this will fix some of the issues that the game has currently 

Edit: the patch is finished now i will upload it as soon as the rating phase ends

Interesting concept. I didn't play it for very long (~5 mins), but I liked the game anyway!

It seems a lot of people find it slow, but I though it was fitting for the "deadland" theme ^^

Only major problem: the player doesn't know when a zombie has spawned, and/or is eating the tree, making game-overs feel random. There could be, for instance, a gauge to show how much the tree is being eaten: if the tree's HP go down, we know there's a problem and must go back immediatly.

Too small a camera size for a game where I need to see so much. Would have worked better as a top-down survival shooter/ base building game. Also, dubstep? Really? Haha.

Reminds me of the flash game Nuclear plant. Gameplay was a little slow for my liking and the intro was long. Good concept and game dude.

Im not sure but im starting to think that many people thought the speed was to slow and the intro was to long XD

Overall a nice concept, could do with a bit of polish. Maybe an indicator or sound could play when a zombie is getting close to the tree? The music and art are also very nice.

Quick comment to all the feedback (btw thank you everyone for your feedback): The game seems to be way to hard and the dialogue is very long so for everyone who is stuck, you can just press P to skip the dialogue this will also water the tree everytime you press it

Nice Idea.  liked the art and the music.

It would be nice to be able to skip the dialogue at the start. its a bit long.

The player movement seems a bit slow and the absence of animation when you carry the water is a bit bothersome since you do that a lot.

thanks for the feedback, like i mentioned before there actually is a way to skip the dialogue when pressing P its a leftover cheat code from development, im also really sorry about the absence of the carrying animation but i just hadn't enough time for that

i think you should add the ability to use the arrowkeys to move instead of just having to use wasd and i wish there was a way to skip the very long intro text.

thanks for the feedback, funny that you mention it because there actually is a way to skip the intro i accidentally left a cheat code from development in so you can press P in order to skip the intro, the text will unfortunately stay but its skips the intro and you can move freely.
