Fun game :-) I  like how it really works with the theme :D

Fun little game, love the little batsies and their sprites

also rather interesting to switch up the ways to get some inside the healing spot

Developer

thank you!

This game was really fun! The snakes just refused to go to the fire. It was fun trying to herd them in! I never did figure out how to heal the slimes. I tried to get them to shoot through the fire, or land in it but it never seemed to work.

Developer(+1)

thank you!
did they not turn semi-transparent and started going towards the fire if left alone?

if no, then congratularions! you found a bug haha
if yes, then the game needs better telegraphing

Submitted

Quite fun and nice concept! Took a while to understand how to heal the slimes.

Developer

and thank you!
the slimes need some sort of better introduction

Submitted

Really unique concept! I'm one of the people who hates fighting cute enemies so I'm happy we've got this... 'entity' donning a white cloak to fix those enemies up.

I struggled a bit whenever a new enemy was introduced, though, and it does seem like they're introduced quite quickly - maybe it would help to spawn in one enemy of an enemy type to let the player mess around and learn how it works, and then start spawning that enemy type in regular 'waves'?

I could also just be the worst monster healer, heh.

Developer(+1)

thank you!

nope, it's not you. the game DESPERATELY needs some gradual introduction to enemies. i think that throwing in a ghost next to a bat in the lobby would be nice, as well as making the first way contain both a slime and a snake (and also for nothing else to spawn until you collect all the 4 monsters). this way you would know what you are getting into. as the game stands right now, you need to play it once or twice just to understand it, and then you are good to go on the third attempt. while at the same time, the game's round lasts too long for me to expect players to stick around for 3 rounds

How do you make the green monster approach the bonfire?

Developer

You have to anger them with your wind spell, then they dash towards you and you can use that to lunch them towards the campfire

Submitted

I see. A very unique concept.

Nice idea! Fun to play, would be awsome to have some power up for the healer! Nice job! :)

Developer

Thank you! Powerups definitely would be a cool addition ^^

Submitted

Really nice idea and fun game well done! :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We're glad you like it ^^

I loved the wind ability and the herding concept. It was a very clean execution!

Developer

Thank you!

I like the art and concept. Once I got a feel for what I was trying to do, it was fairly fun and enjoyable. I liked how the slimes really shake up the gameplay/strategy too. The only thing is a little more of a tutorial message at the start would be nice as I originally couldn't tell if the wind spell was my healing before I realized I was supposed to push them towards the center.

Developer

Thank you! We're glad you enjoyed it ^^ we'll keep in mind making a more through tutorial in the future ^^

that bad "players" hurting monsters :C they just want to live!

great spin on this years topic, good job!

Developer(+1)

exactly! to be denied life, just for someone else's EXP, truly scandalous!

and thank you!

Challenging and fun game!

I like the different monster variety and the wind spell it adds a fun layer of strategy to the game play!

I also like the pixel art, very clean and appealing.

P.S. I got a score of 35

Developer(+1)

not a bad score, you tied the score from the screenshots!
and thank you!

Heyya!

The idea is very similar to mine but executed way differently. Very interesting and fun interacting with the different animals ♥

Developer

i thought the same thing when seeing your game haha
and thank you!

I really like the idea. And while the roles are reversed it is similar to those herding mini games (e.g. in Zelda TP) but also gives those a twist. This is making the game familiar but unique. Even though the (very cute) monsters could be more intuitive.

Submitted

Nice idea, it goes along well with the theme! Maybe the gameplay is a bit repetitive and the monster behaviors are not very intuitive, but overall I like the charm of the game, especially for the very nice graphics!

Developer(+1)

thank you! making the monsters more intuitive is definitely something which we didnt put enough effort into

Submitted

I really like how each monster has their own moveset and you have to do something different for each type to heal them. Very cool game

Developer

Thank you!
