How does your game fit the theme?
Instead of playing as the player, you play as the in-game character. Ordinarily the character takes all of the punishment for the player's actions, but in this case, you're the one being punished.

Very interesting game but I sometimes just did not find the button to attack the enemy. Also cool to have a custom username system :D
graphics are lacking but still fun game
It was really fun gameplay, yeah visuals are not that fancy but I think it fits really well with the concept. Great job!
Love the concept and the hilarious vibe. My only nitpick is that it would be much more enjoyable if the UI/Visuals were more polished.
I love how you let us choose our own player name, lol. Amazing game!
:D
Whelp, we found the most creative game at the jam. Pack it up boys.
lol the concept is fun, I think it can add more sound effect or musics
this game is super interesting and hilarious. great job!
The game is so nice. I love like the creativity , the enter your name, loved it .
I love the art style, it's so quirky and fun. This dude really looks like he's seen some battles ~
The concept is super unique for sure! It can be a bit difficult to get used to (I'm a bit bad at quick thinking games) but it's definitely one of the most unique games I've played here so far. The sense of humor is amazing, and I love that in particular. Comedy is a very good way to win someone over <3
Super creative and I really appreciate the risk taking in pursuing a concept like this. A lot of times I didn't know what to do- especially with the battles. Buttons came up to choose where to attack in certain battles but in other battles they didn't (though this may have been scripted and these were gags? Not sure). Conveying this game's ideas through text was definitely the best avenue. A lot of grand ideas could be presented without them having to be portrayed visually which is definitely a good thing considering the scope of this jam. I really dug the humor, it added a lot to the experience.
All in all, it's definitely on the right path. Only problem is either its gameplay needs to be communicated more clearly... or that might just a me problem lol. Regardless, good job and good luck :)
Thanks for the detailed feedback! Seems like some people are getting tripped up by the more complex battles, for sure - there is always at least one button you can click, but sometimes it's very well-hidden. In hindsight, I probably should have tutorialized the fact that buttons can be hidden in the middle of large chunks of text a bit more.
Ohhhh. I had no idea, I'll try to come back in a bit to play again with this newfound knowledge lol.
That was quite the game, and the concept is very unique. Rewording the instructions and adding audio would improve it even further! The instructions aren't super clear, but are useable. Overall, good game, keep it up!
This was interesting. I'll admit I didn't really play along with the game, in part because my PC setup really doesn't make it practical to use standing up, but I at least tried to imagine what it would be like. Probably my biggest suggestion is, if you really want the gimmick to be the physicality of it, then you might want to make the game itself less obtuse / more readable. There were a lot of points where I was confused what was going on, so it could be clearer. For example, I ended up losing the tutorial fight after winning because I didn't know I needed to click "Win." The stick-man, while the dialog for it is funny, is really hard to read, especially once parts of the arms are lost. And the actual fights were all seemingly trial-and-error until I figured out how that specific character's fights work.
Thanks for the detailed feedback! Just wanted to note that losing the tutorial fight that way is a bug - I wrote it a little differently than all of the other fights, and all of them should give you as much time as you want to press "win" once you've won the fight. Sorry! EDIT 7/10: apparently I was wrong about this! Thanks to Walrusware for pointing it out on discord.
Also, just as a hint for you (or more likely other people) struggling with figuring out what to do in each fight: your goal is to click body parts in every fight! Some just obscure them better than others :)
Very funny concept! Love finding other takes on a similar idea :)
Pretty unique idea, can definitely get some laughs playing this game :) It's a little bit confusing or overwhelming at times, but overall nice!
I really like this idea. Very old school, funny, and unique. My one piece of feedback is find a way to get rid of the scrollbar so I don't accidentally scroll down on the itch page when playing.
Controlling a mouse with your elbow is, in fact, as hard as it sounds. An interesting premise, and good job.
This is honestly the most creative concept I have seen in a while, good job making this.
Incredibly Creative, I wanted to have fun, but I was never sure if I was "Doing it right" and it took away from my enjoyment of the game
Somehow arcane in the beginning, but very creative. The click-on-highlighted-text isn't very intuitive...
