Cool concept, this could be expanded in quite a bit of different ways ranging from genre, complexity, and etc. What would have been good is that one didn't have to go through the whole intro sequence to play the game (even though that might have been part of the joke). This could even be used to also educate players about the game development process to at least some extent.

SUPER cute and creative, and great juice. Was smiling through the whole process, only complaint is that I wanted to play more

This is excellent, keep it up.

Oh wow, this was quite a subversive experience! As others have said, I wish you didn't have to start all the way from the beginning and wait for the game to progress every time you died and see the ending cutscene animation. There isn't much to do while you wait to get back to the main gameplay. I never managed to score that high, I guess I just suck. Great job on the visuals and feedback loop, the animations are very smooth and satisfying. This is a solid entry! Good luck with the jam!

Really good game, really cool idea. The animations were really good, the sounds are also really good. My only problem is you have to restart from the beginning when you die.

This is a really charming game. I assume it's not actually your first game. ; )

I wish there was more content after the coins. Maybe I just didn't survive long enough.

Could you give me feedback on my game?

Submitted

Hell yeah, another person in the: the-player-is-actually-a-play-tester gang. I really liked the animations and how they went through the all usual processes newbies go through.

Clever idea, reminds me of Animator vs Animation. I love the smooth animations!

I really love this, nice work!

Cool game! The intro sequence was immensely satisfying.

I've seen from other comments that there's more dialogue if you get far enough? I never got there, and I worry that if other people don't read the comments they'll never even know more game exists

Fine by me. It was just intended to be a small easter egg. There is no new gameplay or anything. A small tip: you have to be patient :)

I like how it starts with no detail, then adds it before the game begins, which helps you learn the controls and get a feel for it first. Wish there was a bit more to it, or that it kept changing even during the full gameplay, to give the impression that it’s constantly being tweaked by the creator. But overall, pretty solid!

Wait, I kept playing after reading the other comments, and this is actually brilliant. Good stuff! (though I can’t tell how far I can go - I got as far as it saying “Ready for another round?” over and over)

Developer(+1)

Yeah, that was the end there. Glad people actually played until the end :)

I liked it!

Wish I could see what this could be expanded into. Reminded me of the Stanley Parable.

Worked!

Developer

Hmm, weird. That settings should be enabled in itchio

Quite a novel idea, I could see this being expanded into a full game. Reminded me a lot of "there is no game" at the end there.

Developer

Didn't expect for people to find out about the end so fast. But at least not everything ;)

This is the best interpretation of "roles reversed" I have ever seen. Simple, engaging, and shocking. I honestly thought that this would've been a scrappy first game some little kid made, but I was proven so wrong. A perfect score for sure.
