Great twist, and we love the effect when the twist happens!

Developer

Thank you! Thanks for checking out the stream, was awesome to see a game made by the three of you! Seems like you guys had a ton of fun making it, hope you continue to make stuff together.

That was a very fun game overall, the mechanics felt clean and responsive. I caught myself replaying the level again and again trying to get a better time.

That was a very well made and fun game, congratulations!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed our game!

Interesting concept! I did find that the character was quite frustrating to control though, and my 2nd run was too short because I messed up early on in the first run, so caught myself quickly haha, but maybe that's just my issue. Intriguing idea though.

Thanks for checking our game out!

The concept is very interesting and the game looks and feels satisfying, other than when I lose momentum (I noticed people already mentioned that).

Developer

Thanks for playing! We’ve taken the feedback in about momentum and movement and hope to improve the game post jam

The nature of a self-undermining difficulty curve is a very solid concept, but I felt the execution was a bit clunky. The sudden jolts of deceleration made for an awkward game feel. I believe this has some potential if polished, if an admittedly limited scope of what the game can do with the core premise.

Appreciate the feedback

Pretty cool game! the gravity on the jump was a little to high which made controlling a bit hard but the art was great and the twist was super cool.

Developer

glad you liked it!

Ooooh, nice twist! Controls are a little finicky but I'm sure they can be mastered given time (as evidenced by people's time being half my time, even when I cheese at the beginning)  Awesome job

Developer

Thank you!

The controller is sloppy and it make some jump weird ; but the twist and change of ambiance is eery and freaky. This execution is good on this twist ! Congrats!

Very clever idea, definitely a fun speedrun entry! Also, I landed on a corner by accident and it sent me flying lol. Overall solid game, really fit the theme.

Developer

Happy to hear you liked it, thought your game was great fun! Aha that’s a new one, we’ll have to look into that bug

I think the meta would be just wait a second at the start so you can catch yourself easier then go for the best time possible? At least at first. Its an interesting game, love the idea, congrats on a solid game jam entry.

Developer(+1)

Super happy you liked it! I think initially yes, it does make it easier to play like that but as you get better and better and try to shave time off your run it becomes a balancing act/ trade off

Amazing presentation! There's something that itches me about the gameplay though: you run 1 cycle, then you play as a second runner and are supposed to catch yourself (well, your first runner). But the leaderboard incentivises you to go as low time as possible; so are you supposed to do worst as the run go, and try your best to not catch the target?

Maybe I got that wrong. Enlight me!

Good work overall, the controls feels a little cluncky at times, but i'm maybe not used to runners! Congrats to the team!

Developer(+1)

So the idea is to get the quickest possible. But the quicker your time the harder it is to catch yourself, idea being that you have to improve on your first run to catch yourself to be able to submit it to the leaderboard

Submitted

I see, it makes sense! I guess i'm juste bad then cause I was stuck first run in the first jump obstacle haha so I caught myself immedialty hahaha x) I'll try again!

Developer(+1)

it’s maybe a little too hard currently, something we’d like to work on!

Submitted(+1)

Throughout the whole first run I was wondering how the game was role reversal, then the shift to the second run took me by absolute surprise! Amazing work, loved the vibe change as well

Developer

Glad you liked it!

I didn't read anything before jumping in, and was just jamming out to single player neonpunk Speedrunners.  Then the game flipped and I loved it.  Great execution!

Developer(+1)

Haha to be honest I think that’s how we sort of intended it, the surprise makes it better!

Very fun, Love the art style

Developer

Thanks!

Oh man, this might be the first game in the jam where I'd be surprised if it didn't make the top 100. I got big Neon White vibes and it's great. At first I was kind of meh because it seemed like a normal platformer, but when i got to the end and realized the twist I was hooked. Excellent call on adding a leaderboard. I'm currently ranked #5, but I have a feeling it won't last. Seriously great job and great idea for the theme.

Developer

Wow! We’d be thrilled if we made it to the top 100! Glad you enjoyed the game and liked the twist. Yep, the leaderboard is looking pretty competitive at the moment

Super fun platformer, and sick art!

Developer

Thank you!

Absolutely love the art for this! Great job!

Super cool, stylish game! As a fan of cyberpunk genre, it was visually already appealing but when I hit a good combo of jump and slide... Hooo! It felt good.

Until I hit the goal, I didn't understand if it fits the theme but then the "KILL!!" sign showed up and it all made sense. Such a smart idea and execution. Love it.

Developer(+1)

Glad you like the twist! We didn't want to give away too much in our descriptions and hopefully the reveal was worth it

Submitted(+1)

Yes, I think it was the right choice right there. It was a cool thing to experience :D
