I love the art style and its fun playing as a cowardly cutlass
Thank you, glad you like it!
The game looks great. Love the sword character's anxious eyes. Gameplay is quite simple, but maybe you could spice things up with the knight swinging from different angles? Well done.
Thanks for playing! The knight does in fact attack from different angles (high, front and low) which are selected randomly, but i do agree, more kinds of attack (like jumping and then swinging for example) or even dynamic approach with possible sequencing would definitely make the game more interesting.
The audio, the visuals are all good! Nice Game💯
Thank you! I'm grateful to my friend for providing the art, it definitely made the game more appealing.
Nice idea and the eye candy is nice, but there's not a lot to it. If you hit the monster or not seems random.
Thanks for playing! Yes, the concept is simple, sadly i didn't manage to fill it up with the content and balance properly, but it is what it is. Still happy about the result though.
Great idea! Playing as the sword instead of the knight is neat! :D Cool graphics, too!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the concept!
The idea is quite unique. And the art and animation are amazing. I agree with the balancing issue mentioned by other comments, but nonetheless, it's still a cool game.
Thank you! I'm not a good animator, so that's pretty flaterring to read in a feedback!
Great artwork but it seemed like it doesn't really matter what you press you still win as long as you press something which is kind of a bummer :/
Yes, sadly the balancing was the last thing on the list and i didn't manage to make it more interesting in time. Wanted to make monsters more dynamic and attacks more variable, but alas.
Anyway, thanks for playing!
Good art and interesting take on the sword mecanics!
Thanks for playing, glad you like it!
Nice art! I dont save much of my friend monsters
Thanks! Don't worry, there is no actual endgame and the score is just for the show.
Love the art and animations! Didn't understand the gameplay too much though - I just held both mouse buttons down the whole game and that seemed to win everytime. Cool game otherwise!
Thank you! I agree the gameplay can be confusing, but it's really simple once you figure it out. Essentially we are just rotating as the sword while the knight attacks automatically. We can rotate in two directions - left (counterclockwise) and right (clockwise). Knight's hand also affects the rotation, so that's what could have confused you.
I should have implemented a proper tutorial, but had to resort to a simple text.
I loved the artwork, the game looks great!
Thank you, glad you liked it!
I especially liked the artwork. There's a nice foundation here, and I hope you'll expand on it later.
Thank you for playing! While i do agree the game has a lot of potential, i don't really see myself working on it any further, since i want people to see what was made with the limitations of the Game Jam.
But who knows, maybe i'll come back to this project one day.
Amazing art, works well after you get when exactly you should rotate the sword. The concept is simple and polished, it has a good potential for more mechanics or levels!
Thank you for playing, glad you liked it! This project is definitely carried a lot by the art that my friend made, to whom i'm extremely grateful.
Takes a bit of time to understand how it works. I figured out that I can just press the left button each time and it works whatever the type of enemy I'm facing. I love the idea though, the concept is very nice.
Love the medievil-like art too!
Nice concept and I'm pretty sure that it's a great game if it works correctly, I won't mind the bug that much, it's cool. Good job!
Thank you! I was considering making the game harder, like slower rotation or knight's hand affecting the rotation more, but decided not to, since i wanted the game to be accessible. Definitely a lot of mechanics could be expanded though.
Awesome art style and cool concept. Definitely need more variety for gameplay as you suggested in the descroption. Perhaps making some enemies escape on one direction or the other? I found that I could press either direction and just hold it to avoid hitting all the enemies, if some of them fled by flying up or crouching down you would have to learn what each enemy does to select the correct direction to rotate the sword towards!
Thank you! There is definitely a lot of stuff that can be done here, that's for sure.
The artstyle kinda looks like an obscure european comic; keep up the good work.
Thank you, will do! The art my friend made reminded me of MediEvil, so i can see what you are talking about.
Cool idea with great visuals. Good job!
Thank you! Glad you liked it!
I like the art style! The concept is simple, but could definetely be used to make some cool things.
Thank you! I agree, seeing Game Jam submissions turn into something bigger is definitely something that i like.
Pretty art! Would love to see some physics interaction with the sword rotation :)
Thank you! I was considering using physics to move the sword, instead of just rotating it, but it got needlessly complicated, so i made it much more simple.
Still, i'm satisfied with the results and managed to learn something new!
Love the art style and creative take on the theme. Took me a bit to get used to the movement of the sword.
Thank you! I might have made the game a bit too tricky because of the knight's hand affecting the rotation too, sorry about that, hehe.
