Very nice game! The mechanics were fun to experiment with. And the dev log pop-ups were hilarious. Awesome job!

How does your game fit the theme?
Tired of playing games? Try pausing one! This is a puzzle platformer where glitchy menu buttons are the only method of control, and the player is asked to become a pauser.

Very cool puzzle game! Introduces each mechanic slowly and in a perfect way for you to learn how to play. Nice work!
A puzzle game that I can finally finish! Can see why many people love and enjoy this game. I find it very creative that you can play the game with only the pause, fast forward and restart button. It was very fun figuring out the levels of each game. The game is definitely very quirky with its own art style and writing, which in a way is cute as well, in its own way giving it some sort of hand drawn, sketching sort of vibes. I think the music was too repetitive for me, but this is just me nitpicking. Overall I enjoyed finding ways of finding the way of going through each levels :D Pretty good submission!
Well paused! Neat game, fun mechanics, good music, perfect for the jam! My only issue is that the end screen didn’t fill my 16:10 screen, which is absolutely neglect able, just thought I’d post my bug report - the game wasn’t full enough with those anyways XD
Welp, after rating 127 games, this is my first perfect score.
i might be too harsh of a critic
I’m speechless…
This means so much to me and the team (and Radish Boy)! ❤️
We love that you love our game and we’re hoping to work on it more!
Also, I wanted to share this Chad Pot concept art with you because you left such a kind comment
Can you imagine what it would be like if the pot looked like this?? We changed it because one of our devs said it made him uncomfortable hahaha
Love the game feel! The level is so good and easy to understand!
Kinda blown away by this one! Great personality, funny writing, creative puzzles, great art style. This game kinda has it all for a 48 hour jam. Amazing job!
Thank you so much!! We were definitely looking to have nice puzzles and a cool art style, but the funny writing was probably just because our dev wrote most of them halfway through an all nighter and the personality is all thanks to Radish Boy’s charm :)
Also, talking about 48 hours, I still have no idea how you made two great games in one during that time frame! Amazing job to you, too!
Here’s some concept art for you btw :)
It’s goofy Radish Boy!
Very cool game! Redefining behavior of buttons between levels made me really confused a few times, but that was mostly a funny confusion rather than something irritating. Also the story with bugfixes is pretty cool. Graphics reminds me of browser games from early 2000s'.
Hahaha we were hoping people would have fun discovering the mechanics, so glad you did!!
Interestingly, while our graphics did come out looking like those from some early web games, we weren’t directly inspired by them. We went for the sloppy coloring as a nod to the rushed development (even though it probably took longer to achieve that effect hahaha)
On the one hand, this is one of the most fun games I've played in the jam, and one of the only puzzle games I've actually finished - on the other hand, I think its connection to the theme is pretty thin. It was both well-made and hilarious though, good job!
Best entry so far! Programmers note were hilarious and helped understood the premise of the game. Levels were challenging but not too hard. Each level was a bit different due to the changing mechanics, but still very clear and manageable.
Impressive amounts of content for a short jam.
Needless to say, art was great and the music too!
Thank you so much!!! We wanted each level to bring you something new and fresh :)
I’m happy with the amount of content we ended up with, but we had a lot more planned, mostly for additional characters and enemies (including all of the ones on the title screen)!
Hopefully, if we do an official release, we can add them all in!
Here’s one of them for you! Any ideas about what he should do??
Awesome art, loved the idea and the implementation, especially the sound design!
The only game of its kind in this jam! The puzzles were just the right amount of challenge for a jam entry, and there were a few really good "aha!" moments. The music speed change when you speed up the game was a nice touch!
Some of these suggestions might become a reality!! (Especially the reverse button-- that is definitely coming, although it might be a little glitchy hahaha!!)
We're working on an update right now to add new mechanics and new levels!!
Follow my itch to see this when it comes out, and more from this team!
This is a really good concept. I think this approach to the “reverse” platformer is my favorite.
