Wow, I really had a lot of fun with this one - such a charming and unique idea, and the gameplay is so addictive! Fantastic stuff! :)

Was fine for the slower ones, but when it got faster the typing box blocked the keyboard so I couldn't adust to where I needed to put it without the hand hitting a random key. Otherwise a cute and charming game. And yes, birds aren't real!

Developer(+1)

That's a fair point, we could have made the input box translucent for those cases. This is very valuable feedback, thank you so much for letting us know!

I'm also pretty happy to see someone coincide with our opinion regarding those flying things hahah

The game was perfect. It was relaxing with satisfying sounds beautiful art style and very very creative. It also fits the theme perfectly. Good job!

Great game. Not what I expected from a typing game, but I was pleasently surprised,

This was hilarious (and frustrating but that seems to be the point.) I love the filthy hand artwork as well. Getting the right keys when the game speeds up is insanely satisfying.  Really fun, cute little game, and a good take on the theme!

Side note: Could you potentially drop a link on how you got unity browser games to work on mobile?  I haven't seen to many games so far with that capability. I had looked into it a bit but everything I tried wasn't working that well. Not sure if my google skills are failing me or what. No worries if you don't feel like digging it up. Awesome work!

Thanks for the feedback! (As for mobile compatibility, AFAIK any Unity WebGL template will work on mobile, so I'm unsure what troubles you're having specifically. We have a custom WebGL template that makes some slight changes, but nothing special about it that improves mobile support..)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for your comment, I'm really happy to see you enjoyed our game!

As for the WebGL builds working on mobile, it was more a happy accident more than anything, we were kind of shocked to see that it worked rather well on phones (I personally tried with my Android device and everything was working well enough, and iOS didn't seem to have working audio out of the box). We do use a custom-made template for our games, that isn't anything special actually, it just strips out some things off the default Unity WebGL template (funnily enough, I forgot to remove the check for phones that says they're not supported, despite the game still loading in the background).

If you want to, give our WebGL template a chance, it is open source, you can get it here, and let me know if by any chance it helps. Other than this, we had a rather default WebGL build config, with the recommended compression method for the jam.

Awesome, thank you! Yeah I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Thanks again.

cool game ! That was really creative and funnier than what I expected for a typing game.  I'm not a fan of the artistic style but I'm quibbling a bit ;) Can't wait to see what you will create next year

Developer

We appreciate the compliments! Our team's made 4 GMTK Jam games now, it's become a yearly event for us. Always a great time :) Thanks for playing!

I was pretty busy toward the end of the dev process, and hadn't read the prompts my teammates had come up with until release time. Glad to hear someone has the same sense of humor I do :D Thanks very much for stopping by & giving our game a go.

Amazing! A super solid game, with lots of attention to detail, like the little sound effects that accompany each level. It would be interesting to see a larger game where things progressively become more chaotic, with more types of keyboards and distractions.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback, we're very happy to hear you like it! Different types of keyboards (shapes, layouts), distractions and whatnot were among our ideas when we started working on the game but were left out due to the time constraint, but we would love to give this idea another shot!

The game looks really great and I enjoyed the challenge. The only thing that I miss is some music and a satisfying clicking sound.

Developer (1 edit)

We're happy to hear you liked our game! Although, the game definitely has sound effects and original music, have you checked the game's settings? there should be some sound-related sliders there

Developer (1 edit)

If playing on an iOS mobile device, sound is not working (for reasons unknown to us right now). If that’s not your platform, then we’d like to hear which browser/OS you are using.

Yes is was playing on my iPhone. I will check the game out on my pc.

This game is quirky and fun in a very enjoyable way. Well done !

Also: Grampa sure has no patience with me. :-D

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm happy to hear you had fun!!

Super creative idea! Hahaha took me a sec but loved it. Was streaming for my brother and he wanted me to keep playing! lol

Submitted(+1)

I really like the game! Very nice concept and the presentation of the game is also very clean.

Submitted

Very original game concept! I think the levels were too long though. Each level could probably be cut in half and it would feel better.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, we will keep it in mind! I do agree that with some hand speeds, that the levels can go for way too long

Submitted(+1)

A Really Fun Game! I Find It Somewhat Frustrating ;P

Submitted(+1)

I really liked the take on the theme, definitely one of the more unique games I've seen! The gameplay does get a bit slow after a while, but everything is nicely polished. Great job!

Developer (2 edits)

We appreciate the compliments! I feel the slow gameplay could be alleviated by adding new types of keyboards. Larger keys and less of them, allowing for much quicker movements.

Submitted(+1)

Very polished game with a great idea for mechanic, with some time to expand on the idea could go some really fun directions!

Developer

Thank you for playing! We’ll consider expanding the game to include other characters and objects on the desk to contend with.

Submitted(+2)

The game is pretty fun but it gets a little repetitive after a moment.

However the idea of the game is very original,

The art, the music, and the sounds are cool.

Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your feedback! The problem is that we didn't have much time to make its mechanic deeper, but we will be doing more stuff after the voting!

Submitted(+2)

Fun game. I love the art.

Developer

As the artist, thank you so much you liked it!
