The art and music is really lovely! But I was also a bit confused on what to do and the end screen was just a quit button so I wasn't sure if the game was even broken. I would have like to see some more directions (even if it's not text) to make it clear that the game is over or what to do next.
I played the game on stream here:
I agree the ending is quite confusing. We ran out of time to create a better end screen :D
I played few it a few times, like other commentors I found it a bit confusing what the objective was. Is there a way to win? Or is it just staying alive longer is good? The visuals were really impressive.
Hi,
The game does have a proper ending. One of the fisher's speech bubbles hints what is going to happen.
Yes but "does it have a good end and a bad end?" was more my question
Idk if its 'good' ending, but after u play long enough without dying you get special ending with proper content.
ok thanks
I was quite confused and clueless to be honest, but after a while I figured out you had to lure the enemy with the fish I got, or hide by turning off the lights. And that you would "win" by fishing up some black splatter instead of fish. The game looks really nice, unsettling music, and really cool idea overall!
Nice little horror game, I enjoyed playing it.
I appreciate if you play my game too :)
That was somewhat terrifying. I looked in the comments, and I may understand how the game is supposed to work though I thought you would eventually swap between the sea monster and the fisherman. If it was a little more clear the goal then the game likely would have improved. It was weird though because sometimes I would catch fish and other times I wouldn't, so I didn't fully understand that part. Anyways, good work. Also, off topic, but there was something about your comment that resonated with me on my game when I first read it. If you like to explain, may you expound on what you meant by not having the annoying things overscoped games have?
Really cool artwork and music, definitely a unique addition to this jam! Hope more people find this one.
one of the best vibes out of all the games from this jam i've played so far (i didnt keep count but this is definitely at least a top 3). the combination of art + music + those fonts + the actual idea of fishing while hiding from something bigger.. such a simple game, but so so good.
This game is absolute fire!!! The art is amazing and music fits really well! Hope to see something bigger out of it, you should definitely continue this project
The atmosphere was fantastic! I was very spooked, I'm an easy scare! Loved the ending. Big Molly Finch vibes at the end!
ngl not sure what the lamp did the whole time but it seemed to work out for me as I ended up beating it! Otherwise, this is a really great game I think you absolutely nailed the vibe with the art and sound effects.
Really good art direction, visuals are on point and the music fits well. We really like the mood set by this game. We think this lacked a bit of audio feedback, and we didn't know exactly how to progress during the fishing sequence. Maybe this sequence is too long compared to the others? Otherwise, this experience was neat!

really love the atmosphere good job
Oh man, you guys nailed the atmosphere! The palette, the music, the effects,... the overall presentation is an easy 5 star for me.
I was quite confused at first, but after a few minutes it just clicks lol. The atmosphere adds a lot to the experience, especially when you have to keep an eye out for the monster. Overall a really good entry!
Wow the atmosphere is great! And the execution is pretty good.
Didn't quite figure out how to progress but it looks very pretty
just keep fishing the fish and not dying :D yeah the clarity wasnt very good in the game ngl, but the point was that when u catch enough magic fish(some fishes just are magic) you get to end of the game, if enemy is approaching (sound) u can hide with shift or bait it with throwing fish to survive. thx anyways

The asthetic is so good and I'm super impressed by the music. That electric guitar is so good! Really nice overall!
