Nice game! Portal being one of my favorite games, I loved this one too! GG! I loved running around as the Portal. One comment is that it took me a second to figure out how to turn into the other Portal. GG! I really enjoyed this game! If you have time could you rate my game?

Developer

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the game and sorry the controls weren't communicated more clearly!

Good idea

Developer

Thanks!

One of the most unique and interesting ideas in the jam for me so far! I liked the portal physics and the spinning to get over ledges and stuff. Still sad about the cake though.

Developer

Thanks so much! Sorry for betraying your trust, cake's expensive you know!

Cool concept! input are a little strange (I'm used to use spacebar to jump) so i got a little confused at the beginning.

Developer(+1)

Yeah control options would be a great feature to add if we had more time, sorry about that, but thank you for the feedback!

interesting concept and just amazing to see portals in a jam

Developer

Thank you! It was really tough but glad we got them working in some capacity :D

Really creative idea for the jam! Love that the portals take up physical space and you have to maneuver them around the level.  Good job! Also +1 vote for an active portal indicator! :)

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the portal movement mechanics and your vote has been counted :)

Very cool idea, would love to see it built upon.

Thank you!

Pretty cool idea, although its hard to rate it with only 2 levels I did enjoy it a fair bit. Being able to spin portals is pretty fun to mess around with. It’d be nice if there was an indicator for the active portal, maybe a little arrow on top or via color coding the portals (maybe grey out one portal when its not being controlled?). I would definitely love to see more rooms!

Developer

Thanks, more levels and the active indicator are definitely good ideas and would've been nice to add with more time. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Wonderful idea, and congrats on making the portal physics work! It definitely doesn’t seem like something that’d be easy to figure out within a jam! The first room’s a very good tutorial, but I felt like the 2nd room was a bit finicky, sadly couldn’t get through it, maybe it would have been better to have some more levels in-between both!

But yeah, outside of that, good job on making it through the jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! It really wasn't easy but I'm happy we got a somewhat working game out in the end, despite the difficulty of the second level and the quirks of the physics. More levels definitely would've been the first step if we had more time so I agree with you there. Thanks for the feedback and support!

Yoo this shit goes hard. I spent like ten minutes doing some sick flips with the portals. Did a frontflip into a slide under one of the blocks in the first level by complete accident, and didn't leave until I managed to make it look as clean as the first time.

Developer

Haha the tricks you can pull off with the spinning are probably my favorite part too, thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Really fun and clever idea!
I must confess I got stuck on level 2 though 😅 : I think I knew how to solve it but didn't manage to actually do it.

Developer

Thanks! Level 2 is a bit tricky yeah, my main recommendation is to try falling onto the box rather than having the box fall on to you (if that makes sense), good luck!

Cool portal platform puzzle.
I think level 1 is a bit too hard. My cube stuck in corner.
An interactive tutorial would be nice.
Great work!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, I had kind of hoped level 1 would serve as a tutorial but guess that didn't work out super well. Thank you for playing!

Really original & ambitious idea. I feel like it might have been a bit clunky or unintuitive to control at times. I know I instinctively pressed space a few times to jump & ended up accidentally switching portals.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Having alternative control options would've been ideal though unfortunately I didn't have time to add them. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool idea!

Thanks!

Very nice way of working with the theme. I like the concept a lot. Unfortunately, I got stuck on the second level already. It took me a lot of fiddling to get the block into the deep part and then when that didn't actually solve the puzzle I didn't have the patience to continue. I do realize my patience is lower than usual at the moment, so that's probably a part of it too. I did get stuck in platforms a lot, but after not understanding it at first, I did always get out pretty quickly after that. Oh, and keeping the portals in separate areas  in the first level was a great choice to help the player understand the game!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! Yeah the second level definitely is much more tricky than the first and it's understandable to get caught up in it, sorry about that! Glad the first level worked well for you though, and thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Super clever role reversal! Got stuck on the second level for... longer than I'd like to admit, but got to feel like a wizard when it finally clicked. Physics were complete jank but in a fun way - awesome jam entry for sure!

Developer

Sorry about the difficulty on the second level, it was a relatively last minute addition, but I'm glad it felt good once you beat it! Fun jank was definitely what we were aiming for with this so I'm happy to hear it, thanks for the feedback!

Thank you so much!

That is an interesting spin on Portal. The angle snapping on the rotation was a good idea for this. Good job :^)

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

Cool concept. The physics is a bit wanky otherwise it would be really fun. More visual cue on which protal you're controlling would be great.

Also I can't help laughing when I hold down e to see it spining like crazy.

Developer

Thanks! I knew going into this that the physics would be kind of janky, but I hope it's the good/fun kind of janky at least! I definitely understand the portal indicator thing, it was just something we didn't have the time to add even though it'd be really helpful. I'm glad someone else enjoys just wildly spinning the portals as much as I do because it's probably my favorite thing to do in the game, and thanks for all the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Very unique idea! I liked the puzzles they were a bit challenging which is loyal to the portal games haha, good stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Happy that the difficulty wasn't too rough and that we were able to emulate that aspect of one of my favorite games :D
