-Enjoyment: It was fun chasing the ball around!

-Creativity: Cool and funny idea!

-Presentation: Nice and simple models/graphics! So more particles and game juice would help~

-Neat game indeed!! Please check out my non-creative entry when you can :D

A really clever take on this theme! I really like how the scoring/auto-stroke system works.

The idea could have been expanded on more

Nice take on the theme! The controls would benefit from better feedback in the movement, e.g. an increase in velocity/distance covered, and the ball should move towards the hole more consistently. Background music would be nice. Great start though.

Perfectly encapsulates the theme of roles reversed but could be executed better . Their is very little gameplay to actually enjoy and it feels a little slow. Style is simple and cohesive but not particularly exciting.

I think developing a more interesting way of moving the hole could really help the game, but overall a good start

Wow they really suck at golf :P. That was simply fun, good work

Submitted

Interesting idea, wish the ball was less random though as sometimes it just sits in the starting area and others it will fly right past me, making it a game of waiting for the right thing to happen

Simple, but cool game!

The game can beat itself with user being afk for the whole gameplay time which I guess... shouldn't be possible? Don't get me wrong, the concept of reversed golf game is quite fun, but this game seems to be more like just a golf-ball phisics engine with wsad movement rather than actuall video game. Also the highscore is very rng-dependent.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, it's a very simple game with nothing too complex running in the background. I think it's fine if you stay still and the ball finds it's way to you as it'll affect your highscore. And it's true that the highscore is very rng-dependent there really isn't any skill required here. I thought about adding different behaviors to how the ball is shot but didn't have the time to implement them so the ball is just shot at a random direction with random force.

Fun simple game

I've seen quite a few golf games in the jam but I quite like the direction you took with it. Nice job!

Good idea! 5 is my high score! Nice take on the theme!

Did you model the golfers skills after me?

Developer

I modeled it after my golf skills. That means we both must be great at minigolf!

We had the same idea, check out my game too!

Also i got the ball in two strokes 8)

Almost got 4 strokes one time, a good amount of frustrating!

"Oh, this'll be easy." But it was indeed a little tricky. I laughed, so A+.

Developer

Hahaha. Yeah I didn't want it to feel too easy so I'm glad it was a bit challenging for you.

Clean yet effective!

A very nice game. My highest score was 3 strokes.

Just a thought, maybe you could a sprint button or make the ball bounce through the course rather than staying at the start.

But even without those it is a good game.

Developer

Oh those are great ideas! I was struggling a bit on how fast the hole should move and a sprint button would be a great addition to that. For the balls movement I just set it to hit in a random direction. I agree it would be cooler if the ball makes its way to the course.
