super smooth games, loves the artsyles and the vibe it gives

Developer

Hey, thank you ! We worked a lot on the vibe, trying to find inspiration where it was possible, adding a gradient in the colors as the scale of the game went down.

I didn't work a lot with the colors, that was the work of Unau and Sylber, but I gave everything for the animations.

Thanks for leaving a comment !

Couldn't really wrap my head around the gameplay, but dang what a BEAUTIFUL game. Aesthetically 10/10.

Developer

We tried our best to use the drawings from our artist in a well-animated world. I'm so happy to see you give our work a 10 out of 10, aesthetically. Most of this is a teamwork with Unau in the artistic lead.

His drawings are insanely good.

What magnetized me immediately was the art. So cool, I like the wumpus world gameplay lol

Developer

The art of Unau had a very motivational effect on the developers. I totally understand what you mean !

Thanks for playing the game and leaving a comment. What was your score  ?

Submitted(+2)

This felt like multiple games in one, but the mechanics flow nicely into each other! Really polished art too

Developer

Yeah, our artist is an amazing person. You can find links to his work in the comments below.

I'm so glad you liked the flow of the game and the downscale from one game to another.

Have a very nice day !

the scope of this is super impressive for a jam game, and the visuals are awesome!  the control and ui of the cards felt super satisfying and polished.

Developer

thanks for playing ! Lots of sweat went through this game. We're pretty happy with how it turned out too :p

beautiful visuals!!! love the colors

Developer

Thanks a lot! We're very proud of what Unau created for this game. If you're interested, you can check more of his work here https://www.artstation.com/unau or here https://x.com/unau123

this is one of the better-looking games i've seen in this jam, and the polish extended into the game feel of moving around and playing cards. i'll need to spend a little more time looking at the screenshots and in-game tutorials but this is definitely going on my list of ones to return to!

Developer

What amazing compliments, thanks a million! 🤩 We're really happy that you enjoyed the game as much as we enjoyed making it!
We plan on keeping adding features some time after the jam ends so don't hesitate to keep an eye out for that!

I didn't fully understand what determined the cards you got at the beginning of each phase, and I'm not entirely sure if the virus was good or bad. In any case, the art style is amazing and I really enjoyed it, so amazing work there! Also, I found the amount of content for a jam game incredible.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback and compliments! 🙌

To clarify a bit, the cards you receive in hand are selected at random in your deck; each resource you gather on the island adds one additional card of the related color to your deck.
Each virus that you let through adds a virus card to your deck as well, so it increases your chances to get one in hand in the next villages... and 0-valued cards don't help you win tricks!

Hope this helps!

Once I got the hang of it, I couldn't stop going back! Loved the game! Congrats on a successful jam!

Developer

Many thanks for trying and enjoying our game! 😄 Did you manage to get a good score?

Submitted(+2)

Gorgeous visuals, interesting theme and gameplay, a little card game, impressive for the time frame!

Developer

Thank you so much!! 😍

Submitted(+2)

This is really incredible, the polish on the visuals and the variety of gameplay in just a few days is super impressive! Not to mention that its fun too!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we worked really hard two days (Sunday and Tuesday) while we mostly talked and took decisions Saturday and Monday.

Glad you liked it !

interesting game!

Developer

Thank you !

Really beautiful visuals! I didn't really understand the card game and when I got the virus minigame I thought I had to dodge the balls and got infected hahaha

Developer

Ahhh, no, don't do that ! If you don't block the virusses, you get a lot of virus cards in your hand and you fail to communicate and trade with the tribemen !

Have you tried a new game but this time you block the virusses ?

Thanks for your comment !

the art for this game is stunning! It took me a while to figure out the card game, it could do with a little more explanation, even just in the description text on the page.

Developer

Hey, thanks for your comment ! We added an image tutorial on the game page. Check it out and tell us how good you think it is !

Submitted(+1)

Just had a peek, that’s pretty clear now. I’m going to give your game another play through after work!

Developer

Nice, thanks for playing!

I kept returning to the ship without meaning to... other than that is a very imersive and cool game!

Developer

Hahaha, indeed we didn't really nail the tutorial part 😅 That is definitely an aspect that we will work on in the future.

Thanks a million for trying out our game, I hope that you still managed to get a good score!

Submitted(+2)

Very atmospheric game! I appreciate the tutorial, but I personally still could have done with a little extra handholding at first. My first few playthroughs, I happened to accidently walk onto the ship straight away, which added to my initial confusion.

Developer

Indeed, that is a comment we got a lot. We want to take the time to improve it further after the jams end, and explaining a bit better all the mechanics is in the list!
Many thanks for your feedback, I hope you still managed to get a good time despite your confusion 😄

Submitted(+2)

Very fun game ! The overall idea is very well executed and works well ! Nice job

Developer

Thanks a bunch!

Submitted(+2)

The style looks amazing! personally I never understand those card games so some tutorial would've been nice! could deffinitly be me being blind and not having seen a obvious tutorial though

Developer

There is an in-game tutorial ! You might have missed it by clicking too quickly. Sorry for that !

Have you tried the "reset tutorials" button on the main menu ?

Submitted

OOOW my bad, let me give it an other try!

Submitted(+2)

Art is amazing, love the pixel art style, also mixing the exploration phase with card and trade is nice, could maybe add more levels / mapping, this is pleasant!

Developer

Thank youuu !

We definitely plan to build on the game later !

Submitted(+2)

fun to play when I finish to open all the map and return to the ship its still say game over died of hunger,

the card game was a bit to much for my i always got small numbers card and lost all the games

Developer

Sorry for the bug when you return to the ship ! We forgot to remove one of the end-of-game displays and it keeps appearing once you've triggered it.

So, even when you finish the game returning to the ship, the "died of hunger" text still appears. Ignore it ! And sorry for that !

I'm glad you like the game, thanks for your comment <3

Sorry for the lack of luck with the cards. Sometimes, you just draw very bad cards and you have to deal with it for the whole run. We're planning to balance this out after the rating period is over.
