This was so much fun and the theming was hilarious and also dark and very real! I wasn't 100% sure how different specialties associated with different task types or what assigning a sublead did, but I still had a lot of fun rapidly clicking around to assign work and hire and fire people. Also love the drab office environement (I think randomly generated) people and name

Oh man, this game was relatable. Tasks after tasks after tasks. Can you do this for today? How many hours do you think this will be ready to deploy? full PTSD hahahaha

Developer

Hahaha, yeah we were creating it on our own experience xD

I love the mechanics and how the game looks. Well polished and designed for a jam!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for playing our game! Glad to hear that :)

Scrum master -- the simulation! Definitely an interesting take on the theme and perspective in the office workplace (that feels awfully too familiar XD) Has the potential to extend the game play for more variety and progression but pretty well polished for a jam already!

Developer

Thanks! We actually do have some cool ideas not yet added to the game which we wish to add after jam ends! (and also lots of polishing based on feedback)

I tried to get into it, but I wasn't sure who to assign to what, as under the task it said a certain type of thing was needed, but in the worker info it said stuff differently. I think the red starting to cover up their pictures was their stress level or something? But I wasn't sure. Lots of words on screen that I didn't know what to do with. Tried to throw stuff at my coworker, but I had terrible aim lol and couldn't pick up most objects. Really confusing overall for me, sorry U^U

Your game looks well done and polished, I just couldn't get it

Developer

Sorry to hear that! Sadly, we didn't have time to create normal tutorial which our game obviously needs.

Type of tasks actually are not straight connected to employees stats, it's more of a efficiency stat. For example, task in backend for adding some new feature will be done most efficiently by employee with backend specialization and big creativity. As for the red cover on employee pictures you were right, that's burnout/stress. It gains if employee is working on task that not well suited for him(not efficient).

Anyway thanks for giving our game a try, we appreciate it!

Not the type of game I'd usually like but interesting idea and good writing
Nice work

Developer

Thank you!

I loved this game so much! I can't imagine how you managed to develop such a detailed game in such a short time. The sense of style is great. I played it all day at work (I'm not kidding), but no one paid me any money - that's all that upset me........

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Hope you'll be paid next time!

That was a really creative take on the theme! We really enjoyed playing it! Awesome job!

Developer

Thanks shrooms!!! Glad you enjoyed it <3

This is soooooo meta! Love it! Throwing stuff at coworkers is such a rewarding and satisfying thing! Feature request: Please add Nerf gun!

Developer (1 edit)

Hahaha, thank you! This ability was planned, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to implement it...

I didn't think I would have fun managing jira tickets XD
I love that games can help live out the fantasy of actually remembering to close out tickets

Developer

Now you can get a ticket at work about closing tickets in our game hahaha

As a web developer by day it was fun to experience what my pm does all day long just slinging tasks. A lot of fun and unique presentation with the office space and kan ban board ui. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Hahaha,
This is a game dedicated to all project managers...

cool office simulator game!

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted(+1)

I don't know why but I clearly love to manage things since I enjoyed this aha, really great job :D

Developer

Hahaha, great job! You're employee of the month! Now go and keep working!

UI is a bit broken (camera is not center on the screen, so hard to click on stuff on right of screen), but very cool game! And you had to write so much text!!!

Developer

Hello! What do you mean? In our game you can rotate the camera with the mouse... The camera follows the cursor and rotates slightly in its direction, and by holding the right mouse button you can speed up the rotation of the camera.

Submitted

Ok, I understand, the problem is not in the local (exe) version of the game! But on the web version, the cursor is not "captured" so moving left or right to click on screen only moves the view a bit, so it's hard to play this way.

Developer

Hmm, weird, we tested the browser version in different browsers..... I'm sorry you had problems, but glad you didn't have such problems with the exe version :)

Love the Idea and mechanic. Gave me the idea on how to manage people <3

Developer

Thank you :)

It's amazing how managing tasks can be fun. Great idea and nicely done! I also loved the details around the desk and the other guy working next to me.

Developer

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed our game!

Submitted(+1)

Interesting! Is there any automatic way to handle tasks in the late game?

Developer(+1)

No, but there is a way to automatize the choice of an employee: you can create a hierarchy of employees, give a task to your subordinate who has his own employees, and he himself will choose which of his subordinates to give the task to.

Really impressive work! It's fun, polished, and the graphics are great!

Developer

Thanks! Nice to hear that :)

Nice idea, a perfect game for a jira enjoyer.

Funnily enough i developed 2 games with a really similar concept before, but I always struggled with the fun factor playing with this amount of UI, especially in a timepressing situation.

Developer

Thanks! Do you think we have achieved a fun gameplay?

Submitted(+1)

It might be a question of preference of course, but i feel that with these kind of games you have to reward the player with more than just "Done", and "Completed".
Heavy reliance on numbers can just feel like work, so you've gotta add something (besides narrative fleur in the tasks or NPC's), that makes it all worth it. Some cool immediate changes around you? An animal dancing orange justice? Who knows.

Developer

Okay, thanks for your feedback! I think you are right and the reward system needs to be improved.
