Developer

Thanks for the nice words! :)

The game is really well-polished for just 4 days. Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! <3

This is an amazing entry! Well paced and tense throughout! The retro visuals are on point as well. I truly enjoyed this short game. 5/5 ^^

Developer

Thank you for playing! Love the visuals of your game, great entry!

Really impressive for 4 days!

Developer

Thanks for playing! <3

Really cool game, I really love horror games where it's the environment that's the scary part. There were a bit of clipping on some floor details, but otherwise good game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback about that visual glitch! :)

Submitted(+1)

Eery vibe, sfx that creeps under your skin and nostalgic artstyle! Great work!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Loved your entry, very fun! :)

Submitted(+1)

Really impressive and was very cool to play. Even got jump scared! I will say I'm not sure if it fully fits the theme?

Developer

Thanks for playing! I interpreted the theme differently; like a cult built to scale. Blokes who worship a heart, an entity inside a house.

I'm immediately a sucker for horror games where the house is the bad guy, so this immediately reeled me in. This is an insane amount of polish for such a short game jam! Great work, it also made me interested in checking your other projects so I'll be checking that out

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! I loved the concept of Tale of Fractalia. The setting reminded me a bit of Dark Souls 2 for some reason! :D

That stairwell moment got me good. Well done on this.

Developer

Got me a few times aswell! Thanks for playing <3

Visuals are really good, and the human shadows are really creepy. Character speed is just slightly too slow for me, but otherwise great job!

It would be awesome if you could give feedback on my game too: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2024/rate/2903767

Developer

Left a review on your entry. Thanks for playing! :)

This was awesome! Really great graphics and solid gameplay for a game jam project!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the video man. Atleast I have proof that the game is working on other devices :D

Working great at that! XD

I will never not play a photo based horror game. Somehow they are always good

Developer

Thanks for playing! I hope you found it as enjoyable as other photo based horror games!

Submitted(+1)

The atmosphere was impeccable, visual design and tension was very nice! I liked getting to take a picture of the statue mid fall.

Developer

The statue got a photo before tragedy struck atleast! Thanks for playing! :)

Submitted(+1)

This game can be amazing! The atmosphere and style is just breathtaking. Feels like the gameplay is stilling missing something though. Nevertheless Great Work!

Developer (1 edit)

It's missing a lot of things. Wanted to add the feature to look back pictures you've taken, a lot more scares and scarier scares, etc. Maybe next time i wont 3d model and set dress for 2 days haha. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

This game has potential to be a great one! Loved the atmosphere and taking pictures is kinda satisfying !

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! <3

Atmosphere is amazing. Gameplay feels so sluggish though just getting to the house took forever. Also didn't realize at first that the photos had a timeframe where you could look at them, I just thought they hadn't been shaken enough and would keep trying instead of looking at the photo

Developer

Yeah, adding a close button after the picture has been shaken enough would be a good improvement. I'll address the issues pointed out by those who provided feedback after the jam rating period ends, and once I'm able to upload builds to itch.io again. Thanks for the feedback!

I had some visual artifacts on my render, I am using a Mac M2 and Chrome. Apart from that, great job!

Developer

Oof that looks nasty. Don't have much experience with Macs sadly, thanks for playing anyways!

I love it ! The idea of making an horror game is great and really well performed. I love the graphics and the ambiance is good so well done. The only issue is that the picture thing is not really useful but i liked taking pictures of everything...

Developer

Thanks for playing! Sadly this is what I managed to squeeze in in 4 days. :(

The camera makes me think of the Scrying stone from Undying. But without an idea of what has spooky pictures, I feel I’m just taking pictures of things randomly

Developer

Yeah, wanted to do more with the camera mechanic, thats what I managed to squeeze in. Thanks for playing regardless!
