how do i run? the controls instructions went away now im just walking around. is the texture effect thing supposed to be all crazy like flashing like that? the game thumbnail for itch is dope
Awesome game! though i do feel like it meeting the theme is a bit of a stretch
I hate horror games and this for sure was one. I was constantly on edge, unfortuantly I gave up when I was unable to find a way to open the door on the roof
I almost did too until I figured out there was a list of photos you're supposed to take you can see with tab. after you take all the photos the attic opens up.
This was great. Anyone who can pull off a horror game gets extra points. It's very well made. Congrats.
It´s great to see a horror game in the jam! The puzzle of the statue was neat, specially the basement part. A slightly faster movement would've been great, though. The player felt too slow outside of the house as well as while backtracking the house. Nice game!
This is fantastic. I've wanted to do a horror game for a jam for a while, but always been scared because it seems so hard. You show that it can be done very well with a high degree of polish. Well done! (Also I was very scared)
Great vibes and nice puzzles! Did’t really get how the game relates to the theme though.
I love the retro vibes, very pleasant. Great spooky atmosphere! The polaroid mechanic was awesome!
Thanks for playing! <3
PSX Style my beloved. What a nice little horror game. I really like shaking the photo to show the picture I took too. And the horror element ties nicely to that.
Thanks for the nice words! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Classic PS1 art style, very nice to look at.
Thanks for playing! :)
Absolutely loved the atmosphere and visuals, although I was stuck once I managed to open the bedroom ^^;
Aside from that, great experience
Sorry for the inconvinience, glad you enjoyed it regardless!
Spooky game! Very atmospheric, and loved the retro style. Well done!
Thanks for playing! <3
It took me a while to understand what is happening at the end : )
Spoopy game, good job <3
Cult activity. A living house. Everyday stuff
Thanks for playing! :)
I took pictures of pretty much the whole house, the investigator will be having a large gallery of these photos!
If he gets back...
Thanks for playing and for taking a lot of photos! :D
Oh wow, nostalgia is the first word that comes to mind.
I liked the polaroid mechanics so much, I kept taking pictures. lol
Glad you found it nostalgic. Thanks for playing! <3
reminds me of the mechanics used in the go home annie game
Not fimiliar with that game, but i'll check it out! Thanks for playing! :)
The esthetic is something ! Love the vibes of this little horror game ! Reminds me of old school resident evil :nostalgia:
Its nice to hear that it reminded you of RE. Love the old RE games. Thanks for playing. <3
Really like the setting, most people that go for this dont pull it off well, only suggestion would be the very start long walk
Thanks for the nice words! Will make the move speed faster outside when i can update the game. :)
Really nice game. Just wished that the movement speed could be little faster.
Sorry for the slow move speed. I will make the movement faster outside when I can edit the itch build! Hope it was enjoyable regardless!
Really cool and atmospheric game. Really lives up to the name too. I do think the relation to the theme is vague at best but it's a very good game for the time spent on it.
EDIT: I think Polaroid is trademarked so I think you might want to edit that once the rating period has closed
Didn't think much for the game's name. :D I interpreted the theme a bit differently but regardless I hope you enjoyed it.
And YES! When I modelled and textured the camera I wanted to go over the polaroid text but I completely forgot. Thank you for point it out!
